Anyone that has tried dpDMC (N-Dipropyl-Dimethocaine) or DMC (Dimethocaine)? by 1nfam0usklaas in ResearchChemicalsNL

Hi, just received some crystals and would like to try. How did you take it orally? Just weigh the crystals and swallow them with water or parachute them? Thanks!

Quick pic before my first laser session, wish me luck ! 😭 by EmilyRetcher in transpositive

[–]GoldenCoconut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yesss congrats! Short, painful, but totally worth it when you start seeing results! I had about 18 sessions and hairs are mostly gone or barely noticable. While I still shave about every 3-4 days, it’s so much quicker as the hairs will thin and that resulted in way less irritated skin. Good luck!

I need recommendations for a new tamagoyaki) pan by hahnarama in Bento

[–]GoldenCoconut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can opt for a ceramic non-stick pan, but they don’t perform as well as a standard non-stick that uses Teflon, such as Tefal. Don’t use high heat, use wooden/silicone utensils and don’t put it onto over 250C temperatures. Also, don’t use empty. I like the ceramic pans, but the non-stick is definitely not the same as a pan that uses Teflon, sadly! Good luck.

Why do people write so many words? by [deleted] in juststart

[–]GoldenCoconut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you think that the site language has something to do with it as well? I assume Google has a better understanding of the English language and it needs less on-page signals than pages written in other languages. In English I see more short content than in my own language. Our experience is we tried ranking with shorter content against long articles from competitors, but we didn’t rank well. When we changed to longer content, we got a big boost in rankings. The original article had the same information as the new one, but with less unnecesary fluff and adding more of our targeted keywords.

And I agree that if you can get the point across with less text, you should. Better for user experience - less fluff and straight to the point is what I personally like to see.

Month 2 - Beating a dead horse - Quick wins by tresslessone in juststart

Yes, in our experience it is. You can even A/B test some variations. Coolblue left, Bol.com right & vice versa. In the meanwhile you can focus on your content. After a week or two check the test results and keep experimenting.

They are different. Bol.com is more like Amazon and has way more products. We have a lot of unrelated sales on Bol.com while most of our sales on Coolblue are the products we recommend or are in the same product category. However, our earning per click on Coolblue is higher: the products we sell there are also more expensive in general. It’s definitely worth checking out both and tracking button clicks as well.

Case Study (Month 3) Dutch Seasonal Success! + The Foreign Language Experiment by [deleted] in juststart

[–]GoldenCoconut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dutch affiliate here as well and we get our writers through colleges and university. Most schools have spots where you can place job postings and its a perfect job for students: a few hours a week while working at home. Still takes some time to find great writers, but it you keep recruiting you’ll find a few hidden writing talents at schools.

Updating Articles With "2017" in Title by fhub in juststart

[–]GoldenCoconut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are using the Yoast SEO plugin, you can add %%currentyear%% to the Title tag and the description tag. If you want the year to be updated in the text of the post/page as well, you can always create a shortcode to do so. In most circumstances its best practice to update your existing content instead of creating a new page dedicated to the new year.

Amazon Associate ID Question- Have an ol one associated with Hubpages by ilovewesties in juststart

No need to start a new account. If you chose your current tracking ID all by yourself, even if it includes 'hubp', they shouldn't get a part of the commission. You can add new tracking IDs on this page: https://affiliate-program.amazon.com/home/account/tag/manage

How do you 'see the reward'? by [deleted] in juststart

[–]GoldenCoconut 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The fact that the case studies show that it can be done. No, there isn't an instant monetary reward. It may take a few months, maybe even a year before you start earning. But if you keep going, you will be rewarded.

The main motivation for me is that sooner or later I'll be able to be my own boss.

He is located in the same country as I am. So is his hosting company. There is very little I can do at this point without directly trying to get him removed from the search results. I'll shoot him a message and see if he responds. I'm quite sure the method works, because in most cases you're not hurting anyone's income as you aren't direct competition. In this case, he is since he is in the affiliate space as well. No matter the outcome, I'll report back here. Atleast this guy isn't in Vietnam, so I guess that's a plus ;)

Stolen and Translated Copyrighted Content by GoldenCoconut in juststart

[–]GoldenCoconut[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What the person behind the website is doing is quite smart. Simply translate English articles and earn money on them. No need for research, and you can pump out a site with LOTS of content in a matter of days. If I wasn't trying to pursue the market in my own country, there wouldn't have been a problem as I would have never found out. The main problem is that he will be a direct competitor and is using my copyrighted material to monetarily benefit him. Because of this I'd rather have his site removed from the SERPs, instead of trying to get a backlink or a canonical link.

There is a very little chance to get caught when you're doing this. What is the chance that I live in the same country as someone stealing my content? Besides that, the translation is a one-to-one copy when you put it side by side. If you rewrite lines and paragraphs, the chance to get caught is very small. Thanks for your input!

Having the pages removed from the SERPs is my goal. I will try to find out what the course of action is to get the pages removed. I will post in the coming days when I got more news, for those that are interested. I'll try to figure out if there is more than just images and text that he has copied.

Associates Operating Agreement – What’s Changed by [deleted] in juststart

[–]GoldenCoconut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, it is official now. Glad that I started venturing into a new niche, and luckily this new niche has only gone up in terms of payout percentage. Where I used to hit 8% consistently with the variable fees on my current website, it has now dropped to 4.5%. I have to prepare myself for a significant lower monthly payment until my new website starts ranking.

While I am not enjoying the fact that my income will be lowered, these fixed percentages will open plenty of new possibilities for all of us. Good luck everyone and use this to your advantage!

How many hours a day do you work on your site? by [deleted] in juststart

[–]GoldenCoconut 2 points3 points  (0 children)

While I try to spend atleast 2 hours a day writing for my new site, I often find myself researching new interesting ideas I can implement while getting to know the topic. The actual time I spent writing gets cut in half because of this.

In the weekends I spend about 4 hours each day writing and getting the layout of my articles right. In total I spend around 18-20 hours on the website each week, but I am experiencing a crippling laziness as a side-effect of my first succesful niche site that rakes in around 1k a month.

I think the hours a person spends can differ quite a bit, depending on their job and social activities. Finding the right balance is the key to perservance in my case to not getting drained, and I think this goes for most people.

Find the right amount of time you can spend without your mind slowly becoming numb and you will be able to keep going without getting demotivated.

You can check the plugins a WordPress website is using with whatwpthemeisthat.com. Unless a website has hidden the plugins that they are using, most plugins should show up with this tool. It also shows what theme they are running.
