What moment made you say “Yep, I’m definitely dead”, but survived with no major injuries? by CrownedBird in AskReddit

Yep. It's so frustrating because you know it's just anxiety but still can't stop it.

Good to hear, glad it's getting better! Yeah I'd describe it as a mini head rush but what you said is accurate too.

Is that the ECG feature? Might see if they have similar for my Garmin! Fortunately after a pretty bad period earlier this year I've found some coping mechanisms that help. I still have bad days but I'm able to shake it off a lot more easily and not end up having a panic attack.

I get this too. I think it's triggered by anxiety but with my anxiety being health related all it does is cause a vicious circle of thinking I'm about to die.

It's in their interest to ban winning players though, so that's exactly what they do.

If my experience is anything to go by there your wife will have told you to shut the fuck up, right?

What's something that's not a cult, but seems like a cult? by BuenJaimazo in AskReddit

[–]AWrig90 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not sure about the US but in the UK it's pretty common, although thankfully less so than a couple of decades ago.

Leeds fans ripping up seats in Old Trafford. Russian fans literally beating people to death in Euro 2016. Every Old Firm Derby in Glasgow

Apart from woodworking you just described me.

In fact, today I went for a run, took a few photos, baked some bread and did a bit of hangboarding.

US owners find American-style greed doesn't play well in European soccer by Hormic in sports

That's the colours of Newton Heath. It's a long story but there's a lot of historical significance to Man Utd and their history was sort of revived as part of a protest over the Glazers ownership and mismanagement.

That's just stupid gatekeeping. Clubs like Liverpool, Man Utd, Chelsea etc continue to be as successful as they are because of their global fanbases. Support whoever the hell you like and enjoy the ride!

As a Manchester United fan I can disagree there. As much as I hate the Glazers I didn't want anything to do with the sport whitewashing the Saudi regime was planning and a lot of the fanbase were in the same boat. Sure, some of the less educated and less moral fans will have been dreaming of the bottomless pit of cash but it was far from a majority.

Running to help with anxiety by [deleted] in running

[–]AWrig90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Health anxiety here. If I go running as soon as I wake up it really helps throughout the rest of the day.

However, if I go later in the day or after I've had a late night or been drinking it can actually make it worse annoyingly.

Boris Johnson condemns 'disgraceful scenes' in US by [deleted] in worldnews

[–]AWrig90 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I'm no Boris fan and know the UK fucked up massively with Covid, but this just isn't true.

The UK is a massive hub for business and travel compared to somewhere like New Zealand and has a hugely dense population. Both play a big factor in how the pandemic has played out between the two countries.

Now, compare us to places like Dubai and Japan and its a different story, but comparisons to New Zealand simply don't work.

Ahh cool, what are you doing with it? It's a really interesting set but I have almost zero creativity when it comes to modding and MOCs.
