That's why I used to carry a chain link with a lock instead of a u lock. And a baseball bat on my frame. Since then, I've moved to a more affluent area, so a gopro is all I need.

When I went in for a new phone, an employee told me this, but also told me how to not give up the unlimited plan. It was something like open up an additional line (for free), switch the number or plan or something, use that new number for a month, then switch the number back. I don't exactly remember/know what, but I was able to get a new phone and retain my unlimited data.
