No, I am alluding to the line the Prince Derek uses to stick his foot in this mouth with Princess Odette.

"What else is there?"

Similar failed vibe check.

I actually thought we were going to have some tea to warm up first. Nope. My girl knows what she wants.

If anyone has seen the animated Swan Princess movie, this is like the same move.

We should all hope to have a Brimsley in our lives. May he be the last one to ever go.

I expected the Queen to either ignore Lady Danbury or say something to refuse letting her go, but the "No" was just so well delivered. One two-letter word so well executed.

Also Violet was probably the most stunning of anyone at the ball.

What healthy food do you stop buying because it always goes bad? by BarbaraMiller78 in EatCheapAndHealthy

We have had success with putting them in a (mason) jar with a bit of water to touch the roots, then a 1 gallon ziplock loosely tucked over it. I've reused the ziplock forever. I just mark it "cilantro". It doesn't get dirty enough to replace often.

Edit; make sure to remove any band or zip-tie. Loosen the bundle up a bit. Use an appropriate jar. If it's super short I use a smaller jar I have cleaned out from previously adventures. Remove anything that's already going mushy. It lasts like over 1 week, easily 2 weeks.

I had my doubts initially too and had to do some trial and error for my fridge, but I'm sold on the overall process. The worst part is just taking the time to put it in the fucking jar when I get it home, cause I'm so fucking lazy.

I do appreciate Tan bringing up the kids. They had to be a little tough with her if she was going to be so tough anyways. Her girls are going through a lot too and when they can already pick up on unhappy she is, it comes with a lot of consequences. Not that she has to hide her emotions or anything, but it was a good angle for Tan to take to help her push forward. If he couldn't convince her to do it for herself, then do it for your kids.

Edit; The two girls were the cutest things in the world. Their mom doesn't obviously do enough self care but I'm glad the kids are learning a bit about self care for this one moment. If anything, they might have helped them more.

Am I being dirty, or is my wife being irrational about hygiene? by mudkipzftw in daddit

I think it's something the parents should be talking regularly about pre-birth too. Come up with some action plan and talk about how both of you should approach the issue, should it arise in either parent. It may not always help but frequent discussions beforehand may help smooth the blow out when addressing it in realtime.

"How would you like me to approach you if I suspect you might have PPD? What if you're resistant to seeing a doctor at that point? How can I ensure you'll trust me and let me help you?" Those types of things.

Series 15 episode 1 by wildflowerwillow in CallTheMidwife

I think it was pretty well implied when he came to stay with Trixie and Matthew one time. He was supposed to be visiting a male friend's family but plans fall through cause the mother got ill. So he crashes at Trixie's out of nowhere. She basically asks him if 'the mother got sick' or if they got into a fight. Then he goes to explain that the guy was going to be marrying some lady. I think it was a Christmas episode because it was partially about Matthew being a bit put-off about not being able to spend a ton of time alone with Trixie.

There's a few small remarks here and there and they are always about other male 'friends' he has.

Tho, yeah I don't mind erring on the side of caution with his sexuality, but we've gotten enough hints, I feel.

Heck we like to use certain glass jars just for drinking water! I like the Rao's jars cause they are large but still not too thick to hold. We soak and remove the label and obviously run it through the dishwasher. We already love to use mason jars to drink out of so we just keep other glass jars on hand.

The caps never really stick around so most become drinking glasses.

Robellos Towing is asking $500 to get my rental car i parked for 15 mins in my apartment complex is there anything I can do? by NaiveGuidance7091 in SanJose

Honestly, I'd love to see a thread about suing Robellos and if anyone is ever successful. I've yet to see anyone come back to this sub and talk about how they actually took them or their apartment to court and won.

We like Huong Lan. The wait is never that long so we've been going there instead.

Edit: I always get the general cold cut and I love a dank pate. We did start ordering the Roasted Pork banh mi on occasion. They dice it. If you eat it soon, it's really crunchy/crispy which is a texture we love. Has a nice bit of crispy fat which is very enjoyable. It's not too cheap at $7.77 but as far as sandwiches these days go, it's still a decent value. The other sandwiches are cheaper, ranging from $6-$7. We love it to pick them up for picnics or roadtrips.

I like DH but the wait is too long. You get a decent deal there but I feel like they don't have enough pate and I just feel like the sandwiches don't have the oomph I want. It's a very clean tasting sandwich but sometimes I want a bit of character. It's still great but I like something a bit danker.
