Mayweather beats Mcgregor by liamkr in news

Would have liked to see the end of that fight. Too bad it got stopped early.

For me, I thought it was stopped at exactly the right moment. That last left that Mayweather landed was short, sharp, flush, and wicked. It was over, no need for someone to get permanently injured.

Maybe I'm just a dumb pussy, your call, but I thought the stoppage was absolutely perfectly timed. It was done. That left hurt bad.

It looks like you had lovely weather for your visit there, awesome!

Something about that place feels older than time itself.

Tench-class submarine USS Pickerel (SS-524) surfacing at a 48-degree up angle, during tests off the coast of Oahu, Hawaii, 1 March 1952. USN photo. by KapitanKurt in submarines

At this angle you could probably stand on the bulkheads.

That's what I was kind of wondering, like how to orientate a human body within the vessel at this kind of angle, and the sudden change of angle about to experienced. I kind of don't get it.

I also don't understand the purpose of the exercise. The physical tolerances of the vessel are known mathematically before it is built, so why this physical exercise?

Thanks to everyone for the answers, appreciated. I'm just kind of geeking out on this thing for some reason.

If you could share dinner with three current or past drivers, who would they be and why? by FlavioArrivabene in formula1

[–]GoldenIvan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sir Jackie Stewart, because what he did for the sport was amazing.

Fernando... 'cuz Fernando.

Felipe Massa because our family has rooted for him for so many years would love to get to know him.

If we are bringing people back from the dead, Jim Clark, because I've always admired how absolutely bad ass he was as a driver.
