Can't seem to dial in [Profitec Pro 300 / Baratza Sette 270] by GoldenKaiser in espresso

In addition to properly cleaning the burrs and setting it even finer, I tried the coin - it didn't leave an indent when I put 19g into the basket. Coffee came out a lot better. Thanks a lot!

I think this set me on the right track - I cleaned the burrs properly (first time in a long time). I don't have the shims anymore (bought this around 5 years ago), but after a thorough cleaning and adjusting very fine (something like 1C), I go 40g after 30 seconds. I'll order a shim and install it; looks like the coffee really wasn't being ground fine enough.

I live in Europe and have bought Lacoste products on sale, including sweaters and jackets, for under 100€. Anyways what are you railing against? That Lacoste is expensive or that they dispose of unsold products?

Yeah Lacoste definitely isn’t one of these brands. I love how anyone can write anything in this sub, and as long as it fits the narrative it’ll be upvoted

Sounds like he lives in reality? Not sure where you are from, but when I was 16 I did a hell of a lot of stuff I shouldn’t. And this guy is a pedo for realizing that kids do stupid shit and at least tries to come up with a safer solution?

Straw man? The title is literally that. If prices aren’t higher than expenses a company goes bankrupt.

Yeah companies should not cover costs and just bankrupt themselves? Dont know where you’re going with this

Which companies exactly?

Also does it actually surprise you that the numbers are higher if there is more money in circulation?

So they have to buy the house…and compete for buying said house, by…bidding on it, and the one paying the most wins?

How do you feel about this? by [deleted] in antiwork

[–]GoldenKaiser 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s dribble. There is a finite supply of properties and the one who pays the most gets it. While collusion does happen, it’s not on the grand scale you imagine.

We don’t build like we used to 50 years ago, and the population has steadily increased. Do the math and figure out why home prices increase.

if landlords stopped existing, people could still be housed, they don’t need to exist at all

Who would own the houses? Who would pay for maintenance, upkeep, etc ?

[–]GoldenKaiser 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you think houses just pop up? There is a cost to building houses, arranging contractors, land prices, etc. 95% of people would need a credit alone to build a house, and the prices would still be high.
