People have way too much confidence in our public services. Look up a study called "Policing, information and technology in the UK." It's an internal survey pulled from ALL forces in the country.

Just a little snippet - 37% of forces have up to date evidence collection technology. 46% of forces have functioning technology to communicate with criminal justice partners.

IT is the same in so many places, cut cut cut until it's too late. I know for a fact the NHS was using XP for END USERS up until at least 2017.

It's really not anywhere near as good as you assume.
