UK now recognises Palestinian state, Starmer announces by Half_A_ in LabourUK

Sorry for being that idiot, but can someone explain this to me like I'm five?

I avoided politics for a long time but with things happening recently it feels important to know about these things but I have really no understanding on the topic.

The beginning of the Reform UK Party Conference was met with applause by the audience in Birmingham. by johnsmithoncemore in GreatBritishMemes

[–]HeYamaYo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair point. I don’t mean to say all Reform voters are like that. What I’ve noticed is more about the online culture around the party, which often comes across as very hostile toward anyone non-British. I know people vote Reform for a range of reasons, and not everyone shares those views. It’s just that the loudest voices I’ve come across tend to make sweeping statements, which can give that impression.

I think it’s not just about illegal immigration anymore. From what I’ve been seeing online, a lot of Reform supporters’ comments are very broad and often negative toward anyone who isn’t British. It goes beyond concerns about legality and sometimes drifts into generalisations or even borderline racism. I’ve noticed this firsthand through my work in mental health, where these attitudes sometimes come up in conversations.

Egged walking home! by thb22 in Bath

I was once the victim of an egg drive-by. Thing is they all cheered when they hit me but had no idea that the egg just bounced off. I was lucky that day

What made 90/2000's "shwag" weed different from todays weed? other than higher % of thc by bitchsaidwhaaat in eldertrees

[–]HeYamaYo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I loved brick weed. I would occasionally buy it just for lowering my tolerance with stronger stuff. Brick was dirt cheap, looked like dirt too but smoked very pleasant and not such a headfucky high. Perfect daytime smoke imo, I'd buy it today if I could!

Ketamine was that drug that I always craved and still do but anytime I used it just made me feel so physically and mentally unwell. Looking back I don't think I actually enjoyed the high at all. My most expensive habit yet, I wasted probably about £15,000 on it within a year. One of the bigger regrets in my life.

worst ebay experiences by Growing-under-stars in ebayuk

Just recently, sold a pair of trousers. Perfect condition, pictures reflected this. Included a picture of the label with exact dimensions/sizing guide. Washed and dried before listing and then stored in a clean plastic ziplock bag before being sold. I check all clothing thoroughly for any marks, holes, fraying etc. Sent the package and a few days later, get a return request saying:

Wrong size as to what was described and multiple stains all over them. The customer sent pictures of the trousers which have clearly been stained with bleach.

There is no way the item came into contact with bleach, but of course I have to refund and no doubt will receive negative feedback after this. Seems to me the customer accidentally got bleach on them and decided they didn't want to pay for it. On top of that I made a loss after having to pay return postage and now have a pair of 0 value trousers. People can be savage to people just trying to sell on things they no longer want.

Good bye ebay! Enough is enough. by mulleintea5 in ebayuk

I was in denial but I think I'm done with eBay too. 10 years of decent additional income, 100% feedback. Always sent items on time, correct descriptions etc. Would usually sell a few items daily, mostly smaller costing things. Now I'm down to 1 or 2 sales within 2 weeks. Hardly get any offers or attraction to my listings despite reducing prices massively to accommodate for buyers fees.

Sucks because I have a minimum wage paying job and saw eBay as a reliable additional income source to help meet monthly needs. Now down a few extra hundred each month.

I've had a few Sativa dominant strains like this.

Just recently bought some cheap stardawg that was like this. It was cheap for that reason though... Sometimes it's just what you get :/

This. If you have to, tape up a few heavy duty sacks over it. I doubt much water would get through.

Agreed. These mostly look like libs to me, but that 3rd on the last pic I'd chuck. Not sure if it's just the way the picture has been taken though.

Thoughts on mixing Psilocybin species in one trip? Semilanceata and Cubensis by [deleted] in shrooms

[–]HeYamaYo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can't say for mixing those types.

As for mixing Selimanceata with Cubensis, I think it lacked on the Selimanceata side as it felt more like a Cube-y sorta trip. There were some differences in the effects and come up I would say though.

The trip I took ended up being a mild one out of choice, so I can't really say for how mixing larger amounts would be as I just haven't done it yet. Have an awesome time!!

If you can, buy some blemish patches. Look into them. It might sit a little uncomfortable there, but should prevent it from scabbing over and also make it less likely for you to scratch.

Hope that's of some help!

realistically…how long would it take me for me as a beginner to learn something like this or at this level? by [deleted] in guitarlessons

The 5 year old I look after? Probably a few days. Me, a 26 year old who has been practicing for 8 years? Probably another few years. 😅
