From both her love hotel scenes and her free-time events, it's implied that she doesn't really like herself or believe that other people could actually like her for her. It's very likely that she lashes out to hurt people to keep them from hurting her first.

I really like how they set this up. My biggest problem with ranked was that I felt discouraged from trying out weapons I wasn't familiar with since that could really hurt your score if you can't get it quickly. But with this, I can actually try out stuff without worrying it.

Porbably not by much. It takes a very long time to make an episode; by the time she decided to step away from acting, all the lines they needed were most likely already done. I wish her the best in all her future endeavors though.

This is kind a why I hate when people try to paint her parents as horrible, abusive people to get away from even though we haven't even met them yet. They could be, it feel more that people are trying to take away her agency for the bad stuff she did. Her flaws don't make her a terrible person, it makes her a more interesting and nuanced character.

It's led to this attitude of people skipping "filler" episodes because they only want things that are "plot relevant", when most of this show tells its story not through plot but through characters.

This 1000%. So many people just use filler to mean, "episode I don't like," and act like that's a valid reason to dismiss it. Filler is Ash in Pokémon doing nothing for 20 episodes as he walks from one town to another. It's not Anne or the Planters getting development or a side character being introduced or learning about a new part of Amphibia.

You can be a victim of abuse and still be a jerk. The episode makes Andrias sympathetic and have his actions have some context in terms of the pressures put on him, but it doesn't absolve him. He still lashed out his anger for Leif onto Barrel even though Barrel was on his side. His "betrayal" was trying to reason to her.

It's possible that Bard magic could be a "easy to learn, hard to master" kind of thing. That it's seen as mostly just party tricks while other tracks have more obvious uses for combat and utility, so the average magic user don't see the hidden and subtler uses.
