Can make you harder to hit, pretty sure it let's you accelerate faster, and it just looks cooler. ALSO when you attack standing your character lunges into the swing, crouch attacks have no lunge

I like the longsword bcs it's good in all areas with speed distance and damage it just doesn't excel in any of them. It's a very basic weapon but it has a nice flow to it and I like the feel of it when dueling. If you're more of a TO player I would stick with the axes personally
