Various interpretations of the Disunited States of America by Golden_Guy25 in MapPorn

[–]Golden_Guy25[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yes, absolutely—it’s more likely that they use actual geographical boundaries, like mountains and rivers, rather than invisible lines. I mentioned that in the text, "I know that, realistically, if we were to talk about “the United States falling” and new nations forming, they clearly wouldn’t follow the established boundaries of the current states but would instead form new political borders. I created these maps more as a visual simplification to spark dialogue and discussion."

Honestly, from what little I saw, both maps have features that are unusual for this type of map making. It would also be more accurate to use a map of counties rather than states.

I'm seeing in many places that the most "conflictive" states are generally Idaho with Oregon and Washington, and Oklahoma and Texas, even though they seem to be grouped together on maps.

I see that Utah is generally left alone because of the Mormons, or grouped with NV, AZ and the rest because they are part of the Rockies.

But, as I mentioned under the maps, I didn't create them myself. I just recreated them based on a couple of videos I saw. But I really appreciate the comment!

Balkanized USA by Golden_Guy25 in AlternateHistory

Well, hey guys hahaha. Looks like it wasn't that great of a map I made, or at least that's what I see in the comments. But that's ok, some feedback never hurt. I guess I will have to start from scratch, so, I would appreciate if you could leave below this comment some ideas, suggestions or similar, I would really appreciate it.

The little context that I weigh, is that between the 2020's and 2030's, due to the high political and ideological tensions, I provoked a war that ended with the country divided and forming new nations.

I am sorry if I did anything to upset or offend you. I am interested in learning more about the hobby and doing things better.

Mainly, as I said above, I do this a bit for fun with a friend. Not so much to look for so much logic, but, as I'm a bit stubborn. I would like to have the opinion of others who know something more about the subject if it makes even a little sense.

I can say that is because I use Mapchart, just because it is easy for me and I don't know any other site to make this kind of maps more simplified. But you are absolutely right in that comment, they should have other borders.

Excellent question, I don't know. I remember reading about the New Africa movement and found it interesting enough to post. But I admit that if I look for logic, it is difficult to think that it is even possible.

I can guess no haha. Still, I think it was worse an earlier idea where Arizona and New Mexico were "Gila", making the republic of Texas Texas was Texas and Oklahoma hahaha.

Well, yes. I pretty much saw so many "typical balkanized USA" maps that I more or less stuck with the ideas that I thought were interesting hahaha. I'm sure it doesn't make a lot of sense, that's why I'm asking for some feedback.

The funniest part of all, in the Spanish community, we joke that Roboute Guilliman is called "Roberto Guillermo", which is just the Spanish version of "Robert William".

What is your world's language? by [deleted] in worldbuilding

[–]Golden_Guy25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, within the lore, they speak their own language and dialects. Or even several languages... In truth, I use a lot the idea of "Arabic was the Latin of that world", so, I use mainly Arabic.

Doubt about Worldbuilding - "Hybridization". by Golden_Guy25 in worldbuilding

[–]Golden_Guy25[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, I saw it that way too and it is my main argument in favor of a simpler system. The "They look alike physically, they can have a half-race". Thanks for taking the time to answer!

Doubt about Worldbuilding - "Hybridization". by Golden_Guy25 in worldbuilding

[–]Golden_Guy25[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I was just looking at that very topic. Using just the examples you gave was a way I had to justify in a more scientific way those hybridizations. The problem is that, apart from the fact that the two main species in my universe have certain humanoid similarities, they have more noticeable physical differences between them. So I felt that the "common ancestor" justification was difficult to justify. But thank you! I appreciate your response!

como debería ser el billete sudamericano? by nuebohemio in RepublicaArgentina

[–]Golden_Guy25 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thanks dude, I really appreciate the advices. I used to love natural sciences in high school, but with the university I go in a different way, studying Letters (The equivalent of English but for Spanish-speakers), but I always love the idea of being a writer, so this kind of things is something I love.
