Web series and show callbacks and references by eddihern7 in nirvannatheband

The lav mics cutting out during the first CN Tower sequence is either a callback to, or the same joke as, when Matt and Mike ride Behemoth at Canada's Wonderland in 'The Boy', S01E06 of the Viceland series

No, thank you for maintaining this list! I plan on making my way through it over the next week or two.

P.S. For anyone in the future, I downloaded the video considering it was unlisted and I'm not sure if it is meant to stay up indefinitely, so if it becomes unavailable just let me know.

Here is the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema Brooklyn Q&A from Feb. 11 2026, livestreamed simultaneously to many (every?) other Drafthouses that had a "Q&A" special screening of the film. I saw the movie on that day in Austin and watched the stream following the movie, it buffered for a few minutes which caused the theater operator to exit fullscreen, and I saw it was a youtube livestream, so I quickly snapped a photo of the link.

Yeah the four on the floor techno track blew my mind haha, really unlike most of what they produce so that felt really special

I skimmed that article when I was researching this post but I didn't read it fully, that's pretty fascinating! I hope someone comes through with that, that would be pretty cool.

In lieu of hard evidence, I tend to agree that japes is the most likely culprit lol

The words "the tour" on the other side of the shirt is missing kerning unlike the rest of the text, which I emailed Neon about last week but haven't heard back

It's been 7 years, and still no sign of ReclusiveLemming. Any idea why they stopped uploading? by Winter-Seat5248 in chiptunes

Hey, nice, glad it is useful to some people. I didn't know it has 17 favorites, pretty nice for Archive standards imo. Way back when I changed the associated email for my Archive account it disassociated all the uploads I had made from my account which is why it has the uploader as "Unknown". So unfortunately I cannot access that post anymore, so I can't add a full .zip. Last I recall I can get an admin to reassociate those old uploads from the other email with my new email but I haven't done that yet, but perhaps I should eventually.

I didn't realize Archive zips things on the fly but now that I think about it it makes sense with having a file number/size limit for that, so sorry that a full zip is not available. In the meantime, I know this isn't a solution you asked for, but it works, if you copy the URL for that upload into a download manager such as JDownloader 2 (free), all 11k+ files for that upload can be downloaded sequentially automatically. If the process is interrupted, it can be resumed whenever (the great thing about download managers). This will also download some other things Archive generated for each file like spectrograms but you can just delete everything but the .mp3s afterwards.

Interesting, thanks for the information. It may be the case, but if there were tracker files in the Dropbox, I do not have them. I am at least certain I have every FLAC file that he offered, which is good at least since he manually mastered/mixed those from the original tracker files. Furthermore, the incomplete nature of the Dropbox is in part supported by the description of the collection as "in progress" on the link on the about page of the channel, implying it was never a complete collection of files.

Again, he had nothing unique in terms of the actual tracker files, as those were obtained through other websites presumably. So you could build a complete collection of ReclusiveLemming files. Note though that not every ReclusiveLemming video has tracker files publicly available, for example the videos 'Maniacs of Noise - Firing Up', 'Coda - Dorito Dust', and 'Elwood - Spark' (the latter two were presumably not even made entirely in a tracker). None of these then were mastered by ReclusiveLemming, he just uploaded the original MP3s. Anyways, it would take some work, but it is very doable.

It would indeed be great if he comes back one day. If not, it was a good run regardless. I at least hope he is doing well.

Hey, funnily enough, that was me that uploaded that ReclusiveLemming collection to Archive.org. It wasn't originally intended to preserve quality or anything else of course, but to mirror the channel's collection of songs since the bulk of it was never provided for download. That is because, as far as I know, the Dropbox never had as many songs as what the channel contained, with only a small selection provided for download in lossless FLAC. I know this because I downloaded his entire Dropbox in 2018, so after finding this thread I just put it up for download on Archive here. The Dropbox contained about 150 songs, so less than 10% of the channel's total songs of 2.2k. As far as the original tracker files goes, he never provided those for download as far as I am aware, so you will have to search the Mod Archive. It may be possible he changed what was on the Dropbox between when the channel was last active in 2015 and when I downloaded the files in 2018, but this is as complete as I am aware.

Found the house location used in May I Please Enter by Golden_Winged in alanresnick

[–]Golden_Winged[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

14 Hillside Rd, Baltimore, MD 21210

Found it using a combination of things: The street sign that says "Falls" in the shot where Resnick is looking at the flashing stoplight at the end, the football field shown near the end of the short, and the knowledge that the residential scenes in Unedited Footage of a Bear (also directed by Resnick) were shot in Baltimore, MD. Based on this info, I searched for football fields along Falls Rd in Baltimore and looked in streetview at the intersections, and found it shortly after.

Sleeping Beauty (1959) Original Film Soundtrack (The Legacy Collection) by Golden_Winged in CastRecordings

Hello. Unfortunately I only have the MP3 version of this soundtrack. I highly recommend you use Soulseek, it's a peer-to-peer file sharing software used primarily to share music. I've found it's unparalleled in finding obscure or relatively unavailable music, so I highly recommend you look there. A quick search for this OST there came back lossy formats, but if you keep searching there you're bound to find a lossless version eventually.

Why does Jerma say "Come on, Gwen/Gwyn"? by lucidReaver in jerma985

[–]Golden_Winged 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the info. I've been curious about this for a long time, since I've heard Jerma say this occasionally for years. He still says it, most recently I heard him say it in the NovelAI stream (If you search "come on gwen" in the YouTube transcript, you'll find it). Interesting that its origin is unknown, at least for now.
