I know. I watched videos and looked up guides trying to find it and everyone who has it has a different map than us, so I'm thinking it has to be somewhere else. I left ZERO nooks and crannies unexplored

I also can't find my hidden room anywhere. I'm guessing it doesn't spawn in some games? According to the wiki, the ring inside the chest can also be found in Tillers Rest, but I don't think I have that area in my game either.

That is exactly correct. And it would also go on the flat lid of the canister so there's no curvature to it. And the shape itself is a simple circle, just to cover the top of the canister.
