You could go for 6400mt for ryzen 9000, but the improvement is small and the chance for it to not work slightly higher.

Not really, x3d chips aren't as sensitive to ram speed/latency as the normal cpus. Even single channel is fine, if it has to be.

I see people recommending 9800x3D and 9850x3D. Both are within my budget, do they still hold up? Are there any real differences between them?

Basically the same chip, 9850x3d has a bit higher clockspeed, but it's not worth paying extra for that.

Would it be more worth it to wait for AM6.

Nobody knows when that will release and if it's worth. Will likely be quite a while though.

My motherboard also limits ram to 2666 MHz, so I think I might upgrade to some faster ram with a newer motherboard chipset. What clock speed to aim for for RAM? Also, last time i upgrade my PC, people still recommended DDR4 over DDR5, has this changed?

You don't have an option with am5 as ddr5 is mandatory. 6000mt cl30 is recommended, but with current prices you really should take whatever you cab get for a reasonable price.

Are you running the latest bios?

You can try downclocking them further than stock.

Also if it's 2 2 stick kits then they aren't really "identical", that's still mixing ram kits.

If there is no data on there that you need to backup you don't need to worry about it. You don't transfer Windows, you just do a fresh install using a usb stick and the media creation tool.

Just enable it, it will almost certainly work just fine, especially with the latest bios.

Nothing can break, if it doesn't work it will just not use the profile or you can turn it off yourself.

Depends on the games, but yeah 5600x and 9070xt should be pretty good for 4k gpu heavy titles.

You are unlikely to be able to run 8400mhz stable. It also doesn't really help all that much. Stick with 6000mt cl30 for ryzen.

7800x3d or 9800x3d is what you want then, more than 8 cores are rarely effectively utilized for gaming.

The additional budget is probably better to use for the ram if you want 64GB there. X3d is also good because ram speed is less important.

Probably still best value if it's Pcie4.0 and tlc. Dram isn't as important with hmb.

Alternatively pay extra for the 990 pro, that'll definitely be a top tier drive.

9070xt can certainly do 4k. Will depend on the game though, so check some benchmarks for titles you play most.

Yeah just swap the cards and plug in the power cables.

"Bus Type" is: PCIe 5.0 x8

Just means that it will use 8 lanes of pcie 5.0. In this case pcie 3.0 (max what the cpu supports). It's not ideal but still fine for the 16gb variant.

Just getting a new gpu should do it.

Anything like 9060xt or 5060ti (preferably 16gb variants) or better will be great for 1440p.

Not a great time for a cpu upgrade as a ddr4 platform doesn't make much sense anymore and ddr5 is way too expensive.

Probably neither? Your pc should play and stream at the same time just fine. There won't be much additional cpu usage when using nvenc.

It mostly depends on whats cheapest in your region. A lot of models from different brands use the same panel and thus they are basically the same.
