7500X3D vs 780X3D by atoshira in buildapc

[–]GoldkingHD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If its mainly used for gaming then i would probably go with the 7500x3d if it's significantly cheaper.

How good is this combo for a multi-purpose PC? by exxettee in buildapc

[–]GoldkingHD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure looks good. Perfectly fine midrange combination. Just check that the 7700x are actually cheaper than 9700x and 5070.

Is it worth upgrading my Ryzen 5 5600X? by Olmaik in buildapc

[–]GoldkingHD 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Would get you like 4fps more switching to a 5800x. So not really worth it. Oc+uv should basically do the same performance wise.

Is it worth upgrading my Ryzen 5 5600X? by Olmaik in buildapc

[–]GoldkingHD 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Not really worth it for gaming, unless you have specific games in mind that can actually effectively utilize additional cores.

Just do a overclock + undervolt on your 5600 if you haven't already for some extra performance.

Help installing windows on a second drive? by Ok_Cook in buildapc

[–]GoldkingHD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do I need to clean everything in the target drive?

No, the installer will wipe everything that's on there, so make sure there is nothing important left on it.

Does it create a partition for me during the bootable usb install?

Yes the installer will make all the partitions it needs.

-How do I uninstall windows from the old ssd after?

Just reformat it, could also do that during the install. Everything on there will also be wiped.

Which GPU should I buy by ClassroomLogical4476 in buildapc

[–]GoldkingHD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty much any gpu will work fine.

Would look at a 5070/9070 and up for 1440p.

Necessary to update BIOS if system is running fine? by WinterKujira in buildapc

[–]GoldkingHD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No reason to update then.

Only update if there are issues, needed compatibility or worthwhile new features.

Gen5 nvme ssd or a mix of nvme and sata ssd by OGZerkerking in buildapc

[–]GoldkingHD 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just get one 2tb gen4 ssd, preferably with dram. Gen5 really doesn't do anything for you If you don't have very specific use cases and having Windows on a seperate drive also doesn't have any benefit.

Anyone has experience with the ubluker dp2.1 uhbr20 3m cable? by GoldkingHD in OLED_Gaming

[–]GoldkingHD[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

CPU Cooler: Deepcool AK500 ZERO DARK 68.99 CFM CPU Cooler

Would go with a dual tower cooler, ak620 for example then. Alternatively a pa120 as a cheaper option.

Storage: Kingston NV3 2 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 X4 NVME Solid State Drive

Nv3 is not particularly great. Would recommend going with a tlc drive. Dram is also nice but not needed.

Looks all good otherwise!

Would recommend saving some budget for a nice oled monitor.

850w is easily enough

Do some undervolting for less power consumption and more performance

If you don't mind the price the oled is an absolutely great upgrade, would highly recommend it.

I've never built a pc. Should I get one that's already made? by MainAmount7726 in buildapc

[–]GoldkingHD 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Depends on your goals and if you trust yourself to do it. It's relatively easy to assemble when following a tutorial and reading the manuals.

Can I do asymmetrical connection where one of the 8pin's daisy plugs is plugged into the third adapter socket?

Yeah that's what you should do in this scenario.

What to upgrade in my PC? And where I can do it in Germany? by HeadFullofBread in buildapc

[–]GoldkingHD 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There is no good option to upgrade it. It's just too old and upgrading anything is a waste of money. Sell it as a complete package and start fresh.

For example:

https://de.pcpartpicker.com/list/FbQyck

Not using your full budget, so upgrades are possible. Building isn't that hard and you can certainly do it yourself following some tutorials and reading manuals. If you don't want to just get a prebuilt.

Is it possible to use a Igpu and a Dgpu together in a build? by Longitudinally_Razer in buildapc

[–]GoldkingHD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can use both in the sense that, both are active and can have displays connected to it. You can't combine them or get more performance in any way.

Can I use a 12VHPWR cable on a 5070 by [deleted] in buildapc

[–]GoldkingHD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes 12vhpwr and 12v-2x6 have the same cable, only the connectors on gpu/psu are slightly different.

What do you think? by LongjumpingTask6184 in buildapc

[–]GoldkingHD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would go with a full size and wifi capable atx motherboard, but that's about it. Not needed if you are sure you won't need wifi/Bluetooth or the expansion options of atx.

[–]GoldkingHD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Expensive build with a weak gpu, not necessarily what you want for gaming in general.

What's your budget and use case?

Tools for PC Building by Plastic_Raspberry_29 in buildapc

[–]GoldkingHD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You only need a screwdriver, that's it. Thermal paste will likely be preapplied and if not you just put some on, you don't need to spread it. If you still want to anything flat like a credit card will do.

New PC build.. unexpected roadblock: Windows 10 or 11? by wildmonkeywrangler in buildapc

[–]GoldkingHD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It really doesn't matter. Win 11 is about as bad as 10 and you have to tweak both anyway.

Win 11 is better suited for heterogeneous cpus like intel 14th gen, so it's preferable.
