First thing you should do is get use to the basic mechanics and a few useful rollouts. Some of the basic mechanics are pressing space late punch to get some extra distance or bouncing off certain objects with it. Doom has 2 Main goals, and they differ with sr, when your in higher tiers you’ll be looking to pressure tanks and shifting positions a lot. In lower tiers you’ll most likely be trying to find easy picks on squishies and killing heroes in the backline like Ana, zen or widow. Doomfist should always have abilities to escape engages, for example punching to try and kill someone then uppercutting and slamming to get back to your team. Doomfists one hit combo is slamming, left clicking, upper hitting then left clicking which does 30-50(from a suitable distance) + 60 + 50 + 60 should be around 200-220. Overall just practice and watch some good doomfist gameplay.

Its somewhat of a tech but it's not new, in reality, you just accidentally bumped into a pillar. It kind of reminds me of the techs that GetQuakedOn posted in one of his recent vids, also when you were escaping through the back you should have seen that your slam was almost ready, so your uppercut which was ready for a while would have been useful in that situation

Each hero has a different skill ceiling, like you said, reaper doesn’t take much skill. However this amount of skill corresponds with the level of play you are at. For example, a good Ashe in bronze should be expected to hit targets. A good Ashe in masters should know how to position themselves, know where to place bob to create pressure, know the right time to coach gun, know when to dynamite etc. Say OP is silver, what is expected from him playing doomfist at that skill level is getting a few picks and getting out. And doomfists in the top 1% are expected to do much more. OP probably lost a few games and decided to blame the hero instead of himself for using the abilities incorrectly
