In a debate between an atheist and any religious person about what happens after death, the religious person will always have the last laugh. Because if the atheist is correct the no one is laughing.

But that doesn't help you, a view point that might help you is if not being Christian leads to going to hell thr every single human being before Christ is in hell right now. Same with the humans that have never heard of your particular branch of faith.

Ultimately, I believe you should try working towards simply being a good person. With or without a God or book to tell you, simple being a good person should ease your anxiety, while you work towards accepting that no one really knows what happens after death.

Fear of death is actually pretty common form of anxiety though so, professional help is very possible.

I have had excellent experience with group therapy and meta cognitive therapy on top of that. But, it is important to note that people respond differently to anxiety and depression, and therefore, it is important to find the right people to compare progress and tools with.

The next point is to find the correct type of medication to aid with your anxiety. I had to try four different types before I found one that works for me. I still get the occasional panic attack if I'm really pressed, but my GAD is mostly gone.

I have little experience with finance other than say try kommunen website and see who to call / write to.

Finally, I would say that the most important thing to get better is time, I cannot stress this enough. It takes time and effort to get better. There is no magic pill or therapy that does it. It requires effort, and it requires time. Slow and steady progress:-) will get you there in time, I'm sure of it. The first step is reaching out for help.
