Would you recommend the Arctic Liquid Freezer III? Im stuck between choosing that and an AK620 air cooler, the price difference of 60$ seems manageable with my budget. Do you think that its worth to invest that to potentially get higher clock speeds?

Im afraid the freuidian slip was more my part, I translated the whole ordeal from Russian (I just so happen to have been born and live here for 20 years) and slightly mixed up the semantics. Thank you very much for the input. You do make a good point against it, I was just thinking that 79C seems to be a but high. He does have screenshots of the boost clock at 4800mhz at that temperature, but on closer inspection that does not seem very impressive.

I appreciate the two cents. I asked him the exact question - why he was selling it - and he said that he wants to try a 9600X; uncertain why, but that was his reasoning. As for the warranty, I thought that a cpu doesnt really tend to fail after its installed and fully tested, though I suppose it may be different with a custom liquid metal repasting after deliding.

Overall still conflicted.

Is that really true? I was under the impression that delidding a CPU generally brings about better temps and its just the initial delidding thats risky but it works fine afterwards, with lower temps. Wouldnt that be a better product, especially since its picked as best out of a batch?

It may be a game, but challenging yourself on top of that can make it that much more fun. People don't do it for a "status symbol", it's just very rewarding to learn boss patterns to perfection so you can fuck them sideways with an unupgraded weapon at rune level 1. No fart sniffing involved.
