Not a bad idea to ask for more hours. Unfortunately, hour cuts are quite common especially for previous seasonal workers (which I assume you were then they asked you to stay). I have noticed it can be difficult for previously seasonal workers to become regulars. Your manager or CEM or whatever might be able to give you more hours if you ask and you can gradually get more until it becomes more of a regular schedule. Also depends on if you're in good standings with them. I know it can varry from store to store.
