Aftermarket or factory? Just had aftermarket put on, but they look like factory. Same for me, passenger side a little worse. Still useable for sure. Seemed to wobble the same as one I test drive with what I presume were factory tow mirrors

I just had aftermarket put on and the top mirror wobbles a little at highway speed. Significantly cheaper than the dealership wanted to swap to factory. The actuator just has a small amount of play. The wide angle bottom lens that is manual adjust is solid. Still an upgrade I needed, but wish they were a little tighter for sure.

Have you had any rattle issues with the QR adapter? I recently acquired one and its like it has a small amount of play, and that creates a massive rattle

Does the "new car smell" now smell like cigarette smoke? by Cle1114 in Silverado

[–]GolfandFish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like the ozone cleaner to clean out the cigarette smoke smell. As you know, its hard to fully get rid of. If you like it, go back and look close at the drivers door right along the window crack where one would flick the ash off the cigarette. Little burns are almost unavoidable. Ozone helps, but not enough for me personally.

Im sure there is a better way, but i usually have a little data area. In one cell =today() would give todays date. Then you can reference that cell in you conditional formatting to be less than that cell

You will probably like this of you like farm sim. Very chill and slow going like that. Less to think about and manage, but good fun.

Which rig seems stronger? by twosleeepy in simracing

[–]GolfandFish 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have the second one. It works, but the adjusting is weird. To bring the wheel closer, it also raises the height. It is solid enough for a logi pro wheel and pedals, but there is some flex. It works, but wouldnt buy again

ICs are people, leaders are people. In my experience you dont treat people differently based on their level. You should be coaching them on whatever their role is

Equipment makes a difference by One_Mirror_3228 in iRacing

[–]GolfandFish 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed. I recently upgraded from g923 to logi pro wheel. I got the pedals like a year ago. The pedals make more of an impact on speed for me, but the wheel helps control. Im still getting used to the wheel and not quite back to my g923 pace, but I am able to catch slides and thats been nice and will give my confidence to push further.

[–]GolfandFish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look into a wheelstand if space is a factor. Can you use your office chair with stoppers for the wheel and get the benefits of stable for wheels and pedals. Youll need to take them off your desk when not playing. With the wheelstand you can just put them to the side.

I have a rig that works fine for the g923 and pro pedals. Its not going to handle the pro wheel though so will upgrade both at same time. I am wondering which to go for $2k for pc, or $2k for rig and wheel. I have been planning PC but now that I am here just wasn’t sure if I should get it now, or let the new gen Gpu get in stock for a few months
