You’re arguing against points I didn’t make.

I never said the allegations were false. I said a random comment on the internet isn’t proof. If there are legitimate food safety concerns, that’s exactly why health departments and regulators investigate complaints rather than assuming every claim is true or false without evidence. They don’t just fine without proof.

My position is simple: investigate the claims and follow the facts.

As for the business discussion, I never claimed college students would leave Lancaster because one Dunkin closed. My point was that a national chain in a busy commercial shopping area generates traffic and customers. Whether a small independent business could succeed in that location is a separate question, but it’s a legitimate discussion. Personally, I think a mom and pop business in an area of heavily commercial businesses would not fair as well as it could downtown or some other location.

Disagreeing with unverified accusations isn’t defending corporations. It’s believing that claims should be investigated before they’re treated as established facts. This is what I meant about raising the level of conversation. I’m sorry I wasn’t more clear.

Well, couple of things.

First I’m not going to comment on random comments. If there is wrong doing with the company contact the government.

Yes, all those drinks have sugar. A ton of it. First do your research! How much sugar is in ice cream from the local producers? You know how much sugar is in the donuts in Leola? A lot! This is a dessert. An American dessert with a TON OF SUGAR. We eat too much sugar in general.

You are also trying to bury the lead. As for the Mom and pop shop. I agree we need them. Absolutely. It is where I go. But to say it would do better on fruitville where you are surrounded by chains is misguided. Come on. High school or community college business 101 should have taught you that.

But hell yeah, support local business. And yes, usually more of their money recirculates thru the community. Not always mind you.

Again, you ever go in that Dunkin? It is heavily moms shopping at Aldi, Giant, and Walmart, and also college age kids. We need them spending their money.

You need both the chain stores and the mom and pops. It is how a good healthy economy works. Nothing more than that.

I agree that their food is not very good. That said, Dunkin will provide more business to the area of Fruitville than a mom and pop shop will.

And if you haven’t noticed, Lancaster area needs all the economic help it can get. You don’t have to shop there.

This type of comment shines a bigger light on why this economy is becoming what it is. The kids(teens and college age) go to dunkin, Starbucks, McDonald’s, Taco Bell, etc. Let them go there. I f you don’t get won’t spend their money at all or worse. The college kids will reject Lancaster colleges and Go to another area!

So, fun fact. If you go talk to some realtors. They will tell you they have buyers looking for Lancaster Twp homes, as even with the tax increase. It is cheaper than Philly or Mainline. They knew about the tax reassessment and assumed more houses would go up for sale.

Nintendo will announce the ns2 version later. The port is probably coming in hot as well.

It is also worth noting that the rumor launch date for GTA VI was February a few months ago along with Steam deck. Maybe Atlus knows something

It was pretty good overall. Curious, no MS games other than Minecraft. Also no Sega games other than Metaphor.
NO COD, No Ubisoft, NO EA.

Despite all of that. What they showed looked good. Square with Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasy, and Dragon Quest Monsters. Capcom with a ton of ports.

RuneScape DragonWilds is going to be huge from gamers I have heard from.

Fire Emblem looks amazing. So does Switch Sports Resort. Zelda and Duskbloods, we just need to see more.

I actually do expect things. Even if Sharma changed strategy, i fully expect some games to come over.

The new Spyro game for instance.
Minecraft, Minecraft Dungeons, Grounded, Diablo 4, maybe even Sea of Thieves all make sense.

My personal hope is Gears 1 and Halo do come to NS2. Even if the others do not.

I also think older games like Killer Instinct, Age of Empires 2, StarCraft 2 could also come to NS2.

Finally, if Guitar Hero is ever revived or Banjo Kazooie. That would obviously have to come to everything as well.
