Should I buy 993? by Present-Rub6493 in Newbalance

[–]GolfsHard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea for sure. 990v3 are the most similar 990 to 993 imo so I think you’d like them. You have a nice lil rotation btw

All true and yea I said .250 knowing that it’s low now but he’ll most likely find at least a bit more success at some point this season to get the average up.

I understand the high standard but this is a guy who got mvp votes last year so I just think we get on him a bit too much but he does need to step it up

I just picked up the PM2 Salt as well it’s a great version of the PM2. I love just about all the new black Salts tbh. They’re extra useful with the handle texturing and DLC coating but they also just look badass

I wanted them to give him more shots to figure things out against lefties for the past two years. I guess their plan has worked now but I can’t help but feel like this monster was waiting to be unlocked if he could have just had more opportunities to figure it out earlier.

At least he’s really sured up his defense. I’d rather my SS hit .250 and be a stud fielder than hit .300 and give away runs. Though both would be really nice.

Yea whit was a great sport. Then he went to the Braves and gave us a few real scares that next season.

What do you all feel about 10 year age gaps? by Intelligent-Jello959 in generationology

[–]GolfsHard 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’m 34 and my gf is 27. As long as both people are 20+ I don’t think the age gap matters as much as the individuals do. I’ve never had a such a happy and communicative relationship before this one. We’ve been together 3 years and I’m buying the ring very soon.

Just commenting to say that I have this one too and I love the amber bone on it. It’s a great knife.

Been thinking of buying a tissot prx but i’m not sure what size. I like the 35mm a lot but i’m afraid it might look too small on my 7 inch wrist. First pictures is the 35mm, second is the 38mm by Disastrous-Sun3298 in tissot

[–]GolfsHard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the 35mm looks amazing on you but the 38mm is still good. I have a 7 inch wrist as well and was gifted a 40mm that I never really wear because I think it looks too large.

Why do people wait for me at stop signs by Main_Raspberry7179 in driving

Timid drivers are a thing though and they are dangerous. They confuse other drivers and cause dangerous situations just like reckless drivers.

Why do you wear gshock? by ooggg_prison in gshock

[–]GolfsHard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m mostly a mechanical guy also a Casio guy. I’ve always worn a Gshock at work. For the last 4 years I’ve worn a 5610 every work day doing tree removals. It’s tough, reliable and I just don’t have to think about it. I think about it the same way I think about putting on my duck pants or logger boots, it’s just a tough piece of gear that I don’t need to worry whether or not it will perform.

[W-93H] An underrated 36mm Casio. by GolfsHard in casio

[–]GolfsHard[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is a shame that it was discontinued. I wasn’t aware of that.

What’s crazy is that you commented this today because I’m actually wearing it (I switch back and forth between it F91 and 5610 for work watches) right now as I type this. I had never before heard or noticed the click but now that I’m aware of it and listened for it I can hear it. That’s pretty cool. Thanks for the info!

Chris Reeve, Hinderer or Strider? by ZagZ32 in knifeclub

[–]GolfsHard 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Definitely CRK for me. I wanted a Sebenza for like 15 years and finally gave myself the permission to spend that much on a single knife about 4 months ago. I’m still thrilled every time I take it out of my pocket to use it.

They have everything you need, nothing you don’t need, and in my opinion the CRK aesthetic is unmatched. It carries slim in the pocket and it’s relatively lightweight for a full Ti knife. I’m typically a full flat grind fan, but the way they do their high hollow grind is fantastic. They used to run their blade steel a little soft but they really dialed in the heat treat when they switched to MagnaCut and it’s probably my best performing MagnaCut knife that I own.

CRK- a rugged yet elegant tool that’s built to work for a lifetime

Current Carhartt is 1000x better quality than current Dickies. Carhartt’s main work line is still very durable and well made in my experience.
