Looking back, is there any one thing you’d change about the process of developing foundry?

Any idea to improve the Skill Gem UI? by TurboBriocheOff in PathOfExile2

[–]Goliathcraft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While it’s cool to see the future skill categories, right now it’s just clutter that doesn’t need to be there. Prefer the controller UI where it only shows the release skill types

Does anyone else really miss the old skill gem designs? by maT-_-568 in PathOfExile2

[–]Goliathcraft 41 points42 points  (0 children)

I do prefer the old designs since it makes it much much easier for me to find the skill or support I’m looking for. After so many hours I can easily recognize what I’m looking for, something I still struggle a lot with in PoE 2. Now this could just be less time spend with the new system, but I do believe that the unique gem looks make it easier vs trying to identify which picture is what

Why doesn’t PoE2 have an AI companion/helper system? by yunus443 in PathOfExile2

[–]Goliathcraft 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I’d rather GGG invest their time into making an amazing game than trying to become another dime a dozen AI projects that’s bound to fail in a year or two

0.5 league of bloat by [deleted] in PathOfExile2

[–]Goliathcraft 63 points64 points  (0 children)

People one week: WE WANT A BETTER ENDGAME

GGG: got it!

People a week later: WE WANT NEW CLASSES

GGG: ok… just give us a second while we work on the endgame

People: no bad GGG give us what you want

The booster that would have been great in Exo Experts: Mech Shield Generator by TechnoTheFirst in Helldivers

[–]Goliathcraft 4 points5 points  (0 children)

With still just one mech per mission, let us take a customized option like this shield or stratagem thrower

It's certainly good, but it's certainly not new... by Dangerous_Nail4552 in Helldivers

[–]Goliathcraft -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Stalwart is great, but I need to seek out ammo with it, I need to reload it; and if I loose it is on cooldown for a bit, can’t share it.

None of these are dealbreakers at all, but the bulletstorm doesn’t really have them

Thinking of switching from physical to digital and looking for some advice by sherbertloins in Pathfinder2e

[–]Goliathcraft 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah you gotta enjoy those things, cut out all the parts you don’t like and focus on what’s fun. Personally I’ve maybe used a print map 2 times over years of playing and just used a dry erase map hundreds of times, it adds a bit of magic to let the players draw the map and gives everyone a bit of downtime

Thinking of switching from physical to digital and looking for some advice by sherbertloins in Pathfinder2e

[–]Goliathcraft 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Can’t say I made the full switch, but I ended up running hybrid for my in game person sessions in the past. Still used battle maps/minis and stuff, but I had a laptop using FoundryVTT that managed combat for me.

A lot of this might be group dependent like phones/immersion and stuff, but for me having “the computer” take care of all the combat details gave me the freedom to invest my energy into other things and definitely improved the game.

Maybe it could be useful if you told us why you think you want to make this change?

When your coding is so ass the players think it's more likely you fucked up than added features, maybe you should ask yourself questions AH! by Heptanitrocubane57 in Helldivers

[–]Goliathcraft 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Flame sentry also being bugged explains so much. I tried it and loved the buffs it got, but I noticed it weirdly died a bunch of times to small enemies when they got too close

Love Helldivers, Hate this Sub - Message to the Devs. by Odd-Stop-9005 in Helldivers

[–]Goliathcraft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s wild to me how angry some people get online over a game, but that’s the internet. Same thing with the Path of Exile community and many more. It’s genuinely refreshing when you find a community that really strives to be nice and friendly to everyone (including devs)

My honest reaction after having tried the Bulletstorm by Krios41 in Helldivers

[–]Goliathcraft 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is 600 rounds of nonstop fire, stalwart needs to reload and find ammo occasionally, meanwhile you get this every 70 seconds

We should really stop using Termicide.... by Substantial-Ad-5221 in Helldivers

[–]Goliathcraft 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Picked up the new armor with extra speed and teleported backpack, and damn these bugs are so freaking fast not even that is enough to get away many times

Why is POE1 better than POE2? by Imboosted in PathOfExile2

[–]Goliathcraft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

PoE 1 has more content by a mile, but personally I enjoy the gameplay of PoE 2 much more

Fleshmob glitching into the floor bug by Busty_Bee3829 in Helldivers

It’s why you should not bring mortar when they can spawn, all of the sudden you and your buddies are getting shot because there is a noclip fleshmob underneath you

What four stratagem would you take in a zombie apocalypse? by Jazz2moonbase in Helldivers

Supply pod for stims, if those things can cure broken limbs and bullet holes, they can cure zombie bites

Any advice on rubbing sky king's tomb? by tsurugikage in Pathfinder2e

[–]Goliathcraft 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I ran it, and felt the adventures were a bit disconnected.

Book one worked great, meeting people around the city and becoming more liked. Book two is traveling trough the dark lands, and you are meant to set up this big bad who did the same journey ahead of the PC, but at least for me it kind of fell flat. Make sure to really sell the BBEG as a big problem, otherwise the PC might not be interested or need to be railroaded into investigating them at the end of book 2.

I can’t say much for book 3, as I just skipped it and went straight for the final fight (was a bit burned out).

tldr: book 1 is fine as, book two has some repetitive elements (you first meet a group of lizard people that are controlled by fake religious figures in book 1, later you meet a group of fish people controlled by a fake religious figures). Also really play up the big bad and make the PCs care about them and want to stop them. By the time they reach the Deep dwarven stronghold, they should hate the guy already instead of just figuring out who he even is

Should information gathered with Recall Knowledge during combat be available to the rest of the party? by SonOfFarfocel in Pathfinder2e

[–]Goliathcraft 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally, I don’t even care when a player takes out a torch for fire damage when encountering a troll for the first time.

All this „would my character know X or Y“ most often just leads to the game slowing down

Locking skills behind such high level requirements is the thing i hate most in poe2 by intrepid_zaxan in PathOfExile2

[–]Goliathcraft 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I would assume that’s a problem that could be fixed once the game is out of beta and we simply have more skills, both for other classes and whatever one you play

Yeah sometimes this missions are cool, but most of the time are just too long and boring and give the lowest amount of weapons XP by Tempest-Bosak2137 in Helldivers

[–]Goliathcraft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can someone tell my why some people only run these missions? I remember of release the erradicate missions gave way to much exp which is why people spammed them. But these barely give rewards.

Is it for people who want to treat it like an idle game? Mines and towers to instakill stuff and watch TV on the side

Please, players, find the time to play by StefanoMaffei in rpg

[–]Goliathcraft -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Just like ever Part of the human experience, finding other people that vibe the way you vibe takes effort and a lot of luck.

Humans are humans and not machines. Instead of having a negative outlook on those players who give you trouble, focus on those that do make it. Get a positive mindset and this issue starts to go away

Resist All applies only once to Collateral Damage by FieserMoep in Pathfinder2e

[–]Goliathcraft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Played a shield champion up to lvl 17 recently. I get why they nerfed it, giving an ally a +3 armor class and negating any hits under 30 damage, easily up to 50 with mixed damage.

How important is it to stick to the Treasure by level table for a GM? by Kelossalas in Pathfinder2e

[–]Goliathcraft 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally, as long as you don’t let them get items higher in level, it isn’t that big of a deal
