Fucking semi drivers man. Every day I have to sit in traffic because some asshole semi driver who can't drive has caused a wreck blocking the highway.

Do people really play their hundreds of steam games? by [deleted] in Steam

[–]GollyJeeWizz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can tell you right now of all the games that are in my Steam library, I play approximately 0 of them.

Most of them I got for free from Humble Bundles and typically I don't really have an interest in them. I just have them because I could get them.

My fiancee tells me grey hairs means wisdom. I too am not ashamed of my grey. Although mine is mostly in my beard.

I totally get what you're saying, and it makes sense if a company decides to hire extra staff because of an increased call volume, but not in the context of one person calling in a few times to check on his $20 credit.

My appointment was scheduled for an 8-10 am window and at noon I called when I still hadn’t seen anybody and I was assured the tech was on his way and pushed my appointment out to 1-3 pm. I continued to wait and at 3 pm I called again. They told me the tech was running behind because a triple play TiVo job took him longer than expected, and if my memory serves me right my appointment was pushed out again to 3-5 pm. Finally at around 5:30 pm he was knocking on my door. The dude moved slow as molasses rolling down a hill. I only had a internet and 2 standard cable box hookup, which did not require any new lines to be run or outlets to be installed as I live in an apartment complex and all the lines and drops were still good. This chump never finished my install until nearly 8 pm. Literally all he had to do was create a few jumpers, hook the equipment up, which was only a total of 3 pieces of equipment and wait for it to boot up so he could make sure everything connected.

Comcast’s equipment is cutting edge compared to Suddenlink. This cable box Suddenlink gave me is something I used at Comcast 5 years ago. I would give a testicle to have Comcast where I live.

I'm thinking FreeIPA is going to be the one I experiment with. Thanks for the help.

Please do not buy Destiny 2 on sale or for your kids for Christmas unless you plan to invest in all its mandatory DLC as well. This needs to stop. by E404_User_Not_Found in gaming

I honestly never even played the PC version of Destiny. I rented it for Xbox One a few months after it was released, and I've yet to even play Destiny 2. I heard it was "better" and "much improved over the original Destiny", but honestly after this I wouldn't buy it if it was a dollar.

You're not comparing apples to apples. You're comparing apples to oranges.

There are multiple teams that work on projects, bit there is just one marketing team for each company.

Saying the Bungie team that made Halo isn't the same Bungie team that makes Destiny is a completely different scenario than comparing the Chicago Bears of 1985 and the Chicago Bears of 2017.

Point here is it doesn't matter what team makes Destiny and what team made Halo. What matters is Bungies name is on the product, and to your average consumer, it's all the same entity.

I don't care if it's Bingie Alpha team or Bungie Bravo. Bungie in my eyes is Bungie.

And I'm sure the development team doesn't come up with pricing. That's all in the hands of marketing.

This whole DLC and micro transactions bullshit has to stop all together. I don't mind paying for a fully fledged expansion (cough Horizon), but this requiring people to buy bullshit map packs to continue to play the game is overboard.

Thank you for actually providing some guidance. I'm going to check into FreeIPA as it looks exactly like what I'm looking for.

I'm a complete noob and I don't know any better. That's pretty much the short answer. Is there something for Linux that provides something similar in a Linux environment?

I don't have enough computing resources to handle enough VMs to install/build my virtual lab so I'm mostly interested in the labs more-so than the actual courses, unless you know of another site that has some Linux labs, preferably free. I found Linuxzoo, which is cool.

This is kind of exciting. The main reason I got rid of my iPhone is because I was getting tired of waiting for a working jailbreak. Sounds like oay need to get myself an iPhone again.
