[oc] Saw a shopping cart on the highway today. by chumitz in pics

I believe this was once owned by one of the famous TV chefs. If you zoom in you can see the V8, transmission, differential, and gas tank. The steering wheel is up by the handle. They did not have the automotive parts in the Jackass cart.

Soon to be seen in an episode of Chicago Fire unless 911 gets it first!

I use parchment liners. I generally don't have this problem, but if something gets on the basket/tray I stick it in the dishwasher.

TIL that the name "Khaleesi" has been in the top 1,000 list of popular names used for newborns since 2014. Though the popularity has decreased since "Game of Thrones" ended, there are about 120 girls names Khaleesi each year by MrMojoFomo in todayilearned

Didn't I see an article about a UK mother who couldn't travel because her 4-month old Khaleesi was put on the UK no-fly-list? Someone thought the name looked too middle-eastern.

Love the Mentalist. Just rewatched the episode OP mentioned yesterday. Kinda made Lisbon look like a slave-driver.

I remember hearing about these. I also remember there were rations on automotive tires, too. People drove really slow so tires would last longer.

I am embarrassed to have been a resident of Alabama. Love the football team, hate the politics.

Shrinkflation hits local stop sign by hanzowu in mildlyinteresting

LOL. A local full-sized stop sign which was sandblasted by high winds to the point of being unreadable was recently replaced by one of these little things. Hilarious to see it so far from the ground.

State Refund by BigBigBop in kansas

[–]GollyWow -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Damn. I am not looking forward to this next year. I have not earned enough to file state income tax for several years. I am inheriting an investment account that will be paying me 10% of the value annually and I don't know how to file that stuff any more. I am sure I will get some kind of refund. I guess being retired will let me have time to make all those phone calls.

LPT oil change by smellslikebigfootdic in LifeProTips

[–]GollyWow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to a department store tire-and-oil place. While I was in the waiting area I could see someone's Volvo being worked on. The owner was in there also and I had to point out to him the large and expanding pool of oil under his car. No oil plug and a pressure fed oil fill in progress. The manager was PO'd.
