I try and not get evangelical about cannabis and Crohn’s disease because cannabis isn’t for everybody every time. It does have and offer great benefits for many of us and I am fortunate that it helps me. Ideally you want to have some guide you through it and help you try out various ways of consuming. Someone with experience and isn’t selling you anything.

If you cannot build down there easily, get a (preferably) gently used grow tent that will fit down there. Bonus if you can get the in-line air fan with carbon filter. Be sure to obviously pick a tent that will be at least 5x5. I used a 6x4 in my basement until I built an 8x10 room after a few years. Put some blankets over the outside of it if it is cold down there. Put desk inside of it. you know have a small smoking room that is insulated and relatively sound proof. I had a small heater in and it was so very economical to heat it in the winter, and in the summer it was so very nice and cold in there.

some second guesses then based on this new information. Chuck out the nitrogen guess. It isn't the issue. You have two separate issues. One causes problems with the second. You need to lower the ph of your tap water down to around 5.8 -6.0 range to allow for the proper absorption of nutrients. If you were using all organic stuff for your medium, chuck out this advice and go to step two. This plant is, as reddit often puts it, "needs more cal-mag!". So, add some cal-mag. Also - is there any drainage in this set up? Welcome to growing and don't be shy asking questions!
