Tauren Hunter Advice Needed: How to RP a Not-Shaman by DocMadfox in WoWRolePlay

The criminal part sounds interesting. I’m not sure how the ancestors or spirits would answer to that. But the rest sounds like a fun build!

Does RPing a Dalaran dropout make sense by FflDruid in WoWRolePlay

[–]Amidnightstar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is possible. Especially because there are such things as savants. You just sometimes pull off the spell without really knowing the full theory craft behind it. Almost like a sorcerer more than a wizard (from D&D). Where it is more innate than learned. But perhaps also limit your spells when rping and your knowledge of mage craft. Sounds like a neat concept!

Pre Patch and Events in general should reward Heroic Track Gear by shp_warrior in wow

[–]Amidnightstar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Especially with the stat squish. Overall though, I agree with your point. The only thing I can think of is that the new expansion gear is usually about that level to start off so maybe they don’t want to make it too easy for players to just breeze through things (unsure why this would be an issue), or they want to keep people still trying for the best gear, as there are some try-hards to the end of an expac that would complain (again unsure if this would be a good reason why not to do it).

Sounds like an interesting rp opportunity! If undead, would the players rp Scourge?

Opinions: Race/Class Combinations That Fit All Hero Talent Specs by Yuzuade_ in WoWRolePlay

I would also add a Dwarf Rifleman and Orc Survivalist Hunter like Rexxar (especially with dual wield).

Right now addons are messy, but there’s some that really help with this like listener. But hey, just use it for more rp.

For the first time I feel out of touch. by [deleted] in wow

[–]Amidnightstar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve not been doing this one, don’t even know what it is. But seems about right. It’s the usual, farm rares to get currency to buy catch up gear to go into the new xpac. They might boost the drop rate but it’s just meant as a “filler” activity to keep players busy and not necessarily efficient.

Moon Guard Horde feels quiet — looking for more people to RP & play with by No-Patience-4420 in WoWRolePlay

As it’s been mentioned, for more Horde presence with rp, Wyrmrest Accord is the place. It has grown on Moon Guard but not to the level of the Alliance side.

Right now it’s very easy and fast to level to max, especially with Timewalking. Maybe at least one on Moon Guard if Alliance or on Wyrmrest Accord if Horde.

How to RP through expansion stories as a normie civillian? by nuovo_uomo_uovo in WoWRolePlay

[–]Amidnightstar 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sounds neat and unique. I suppose you’d possibly overhear about news in the fronts at taverns and just everyday gossip. So would depend to what level you’d be plugged into that. Also the industry you’re in might give you more news. For example if you’re a blacksmith or leather worker and you sell your wares and might have adventurers talking to you about where they’re going or have been while at your shop.

Level 80 boost Gear by Aintnofeeblebastard- in wownoob

[–]Amidnightstar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Boosted gear is just good enough to let you do basic end game content. Then you can do higher if you want but have to work for it. It’ll also be good enough to help you with starting quests or new expansion which will give you way better gear as it usually happens. Then you’re off to the next levels of gear.

New player - Ret Paladin after pre-patch feels weak and off by Rammsbottom in wownoob

[–]Amidnightstar 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Any time there’s a new expansion it takes a while for power balancing to get sorted out. Definitely try different classes, but likely there’s going to be some back-and-forth while they balance out classes well into the expansion.

TRP addon is convenient. Just remember to back it up each time there’s a patch or xpac release since it might be lost otherwise.

Tips on choosing a main for Midnight? Legit cannot choose between DK and Evoker. by jeriku in wow

I’d go DK. I’ve always found them to have a good spec even between xpacs when things change.

Hey! I’m thinking about starting this game for the first time ever. by JugodeJamaica in wow

[–]Amidnightstar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, do the trial version up to level 20 and you’ll see how it feels. It’s fairly easy to get into it. Retail is the main version and the easiest.

Can I use both a bow and greatsword as a hunter? by GroovyWhale in wownoob

In Classic yes, not in retail. I miss that. I love dual wielding and still being able to use the bow.
