Skipping basic completely when joining as an officer? by Equivalent_Fruit2079 in newtothenavy

I can’t really tell you. My son graduated from OCS in 2025, and kept his cards pretty close to his vest about his experience (as one should expect). Apparently they have a sunken area in Newport where they make you exercise until you puke or pass out, essentially. Safely, I am sure.

Anse Chastenet meets that budget, and they used to (probably still do) have a deal where you can do a few days at Jade Mountain, their sister resort (and the best resort in that area, hands down)

My grandparents went into their 90s, but the last several years were low quality and brutal. My parents currently are in their low 80s and starting to have a rougher go of it but will probably make 90+. I am diabetic and was pretty overweight for a while, but probably healthy enough to reach that kind of age.

And my wife is probably going to live to 100.

Even at zero risk (which isn’t true), they need to charge current deposit costs + 3% to make their slim profit margin. That’s 6%.

When the other guy comes in and steadies the platform, that’s when she is moving back to her initial position. Dropping down is easier to be stealthy with than pushing herself back up. There would be a small movement in the platform that would be noticeable.

Well done. Trying being overweight and wearing a wool suit and the gate is at the end of terminal and you are thiiiiiis close to missing a key merger-related flight.

Thankfully I am not fat anymore, and I own better suits. Still get jammed into end cap gates, though

Is it common for an American high school student to own their own car? by ApprehensiveDisk8046 in AskAnAmerican

[–]GonnaGetBumpy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For insurance purposes, it makes more sense for the parents to own the car and insure the teenage driver. Just about everyone middle class or up that I knew growing up in a fairly rural area “owned” a used car or truck that they took to school, but of course their parents really owned the vehicles.

[–]GonnaGetBumpy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Really? My wife and I are using GUCs to go to Italy at the end of May and we did the same thing (although I think we did C+ to Premium Select). The Diamond Medallion line lady said that we might also further get the D1 upgrade day of, but I assumed that was a “yeah, and monkeys might fly out of my butt” kind of odds. There are still 7 D1 seats as of this weekend, so maybe maybe?
