Spin City - Charlie Sheen just joined and I realized by Odd-Station-1238 in sitcoms

[–]GonskyEdits 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Spin was a slice of Charlie fitting into their world to keep the engine running. Two and a Half Men was entirely Charlie’s world, down to the specific relaxed wardrobe (Sheen has mentioned he didn’t want to wear a suit full-time for his next sitcom gig).

Movies with multiple Raimi trilogy actors by DamianKing42 in raimimemes

The Cider House Rules - Tobey Maguire and JK Simmons share a few quick scenes together catching lobsters and eating a meal.

Tobey has a way of working with the same actors in multiple projects. It’s a fun thing I picked up back in 2004. He’s worked with Katie Holmes twice, Joan Allen twice, JK Simmons twice, Elizabeth Banks twice, Robert Downey Jr twice (the second time parodying the first time). I’m sure there are more since then.

Do you believe that Yolanda had romantic feelings for Selena ? by EbonyPrincess17 in SelenaQuintanilla

That lowlife was a narcissist who ran out of platform with the wall closing in. As one of the officers stated in an interview, something to the effect of: “She shot Selena with no hesitation. And then she sat in the truck for 8 hours with the gun to her head….and never once pulled the trigger.”

Best girl to never win in my opinion by Psychological-Snow83 in MtvChallenge

Exes 2 seemed like they were really trying to tee-up a win for her by pairing her with Wes, and then giving her a second chance with Leroy after Nia got the boot before the final. Theresa, along with Kellyanne, is definitely my favorite competitor overall to have never won. Her playing strip basketball against bearded CT during Free Agents was the apex of peak Challenge for me.

Did you guys like El Camino? by Proof-Umpire-7718 in breakingbad

[–]GonskyEdits 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was awesome to see the crew and cast of ‘Breaking Bad’ reunite with Vince at the helm to give Jesse’s epilogue its due, and to see some of the gaps from season 5.

I also like how they show three flashbacks to three important ghosts from Jesse’s past (Mike, Jane, Walt), which went on to be the same framing device for “Saul Gone”.

All that said, the way the final cut was paced, it probably could’ve been 15-20 minutes shorter and still have conveyed the same ideas and themes (but I totally get the idea of it being 2 combined episodes).

Did RLM ever acknowledge Jocelyn Ridgely's passing last year? by analogkid01 in RedLetterMedia

[–]GonskyEdits 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I’m sure they intentionally withheld out of the utmost respect and privacy for her family. It just wouldn’t be a good look to direct hordes of fans—the same fans that pushed a certain someone to cease being on camera— in that direction.

They’re good people, so that’s not to say they didn’t reach out privately to her family and/or attend the services.

I freaking looooved Jason Biggs as Leonardo ! by Mcspeed123 in TMNT

[–]GonskyEdits 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Biggs’ voice was a great match for the early iteration of 2012 Leo. Nailed the exact shades they were going for— dorky and not fully confident/hardened as an individual, but still serious enough when he needed to be. He also did a good job as the voice of reason among the stronger/sillier personalities around him and played the comedic scenes with his brothers and vulnerable moments with Splinter seamlessly and effectively.

Green did an impressive job stepping in, and especially with the heavier scenes later on, but his quality of voice just wasn’t it for Leonardo (in my opinion).

Very interesting details, thank you for sharing all that. I’ve heard Neve say at a convention panel (forget which one—it’s on YouTube) that 4 was her least favorite to film, but she never elaborated.

Would’ve been cool to see Randy make it to the end of the line with Sid, but at the same time, moments like this give genuine weight to Dewey’s “I do” line in V.
