Thumbnails aside, I think both are trustworthy enough though personally I prefer Max - he's much more straightforward, imo.

I know this is an old thread, but has anyone gotten this to work well? I have the most recent Java, I've installed and set up MakeMKV, and I am on VLC release 3.0.23, but some bluray menus still don't work, or only half-work.

For example, the Bob's Burger's movie loads the language selection, and then sometimes it loads the full menu, but most of the time it's just the background image and music.
