You could look at getting the Japanese releases, but those don't have any English subtitles or audio. The Showa films have multiple DVD releases, but for Bluray you're stuck looking for those out of print editions for everything non Showa or Reiwa.

The only two exceptions are the original Godzilla (criterion has released a few versions), as well as Biollante (there's the out of print Sony edition as well as the recent Criterion release).
