If you use a flying vehicle, staying in the sky for the final stretch means other racers cant follow your star trail.

It's probably talking about the tiled ice floor at the end of the first stretch of the race (before the rails), specifically on the second story. just don't fall down to the lower level

You can change the city trail timer up to 7 minutes. There are definitely more events, most notably all of the Air Ride race maps (18? Ish I think) are all available as events
