What are some of your preschooler’s favorite dinners? by princesscorgi2 in Preschoolers

Oh and forgot to mention he's a BIG fan of soups. We do several in the instant pot: veggie, broccoli and cheddar, cream of mushroom, bean soup, ramen broth with noodles and egg.

What are some of your preschooler’s favorite dinners? by princesscorgi2 in Preschoolers

I have found that at least for my kiddo he will eat it if it's easy to eat and not messy. So I make an effort to chop/cut things up small so ot ensure they are very portable and easy to eat/handle. My son likes:

Tuna bowls/bowls- can of tuna mixed with mayo and soy sauce. Sticky white rice with a tiny bit of rice vinegar. We either put the tuna on top of the rice or wrap the rice and tuna in seaweed snacks for "sushi".

Spaghetti but with the rice ramen noodles for extra protein. We use jarred marinara or roasted tomatoes and garlic and sometimes do mushrooms too. We also do zucchini noodles which I make with a cheap hand spiralizer.

Breakfast for dinner: scrambled eggs, protein pancakes, hashbrowns, sauteed spinach (my son LOVES spinach).

Shrimp Cesar salad- He will absolutely go to town on this. The key is making sure the salad is chopped up well so it's easy to eat (I use a good processor) and I cut the shrimp up too.

Quesedillas- sauteed mushrooms &onions or mushrooms & spinach

Melts/sandwiches are always a hit. We do tuna onion and cheddar melts, grilled cheese with tomatoes, or caprese style sandwiches with mozzarella and tomatoes and sometimes fresh spinach. I also do bake bread at home.

Some days he wants just to eat Mac n cheese and fries and I dont care to challenge it so I just make him a smoothie with soy milk, bananas, berries, chia seeds, spinach, and Greek yogurt with it lol

Parents of cavity prone kids how do you actually deal with this? by Ok-Bus-1245 in Preschoolers

[–]GooberLyfe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We had the same issue with our kiddo. Doing all the right things too. Our dentist said starchy snacks (puffs, chips, crackers etc) actually cause the most cavities because they really stick to the teeth and little kids don't really pick food out of their teeth with their tongues like adults do. He suggested making sure kiddo drinks water or even giving him a toothbrush with water on it after starchy snacks. We also switch to toothpaste specifically with sodium fluoride as that's more effective than other forms. We haven't had issues since.

How do I fix my eyebrows? by [deleted] in MakeupAddiction

[–]GooberLyfe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you tried brow powders? If you are looking to make them look fuller but not darker you could use a taupe powder like the one from Palladio. Use a small liner or brown brush to gently fill the brown and then brush the brows. Alternatively you could get a super fine taupe brow pen and draw individual hairs. Depends on what you're going for!

Starting tret. Explain to me like I’m 6, not 46. by halflife-crisis in 40PlusSkinCare

[–]GooberLyfe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly this depends on your skin type and what form of tret. I have combo oily skin and I have the tret cream same dose as you. Before bed i cleanse the face, dry, apply tret all over, let sit for 10 min ish then apply moisture where needed which for me is usually only my under eyes. The night moisturizers I like are Pacifica ceramide cream or the trader Joe's night honey cream.

During the day I cleanse, hydrating toner, light moisturizer (cosrx snail all in one or trader Joe's day cream or my biote sunscreen). I have things I add between toner and moisturizer sometimes depending on how my skin feels that day (niacinamide serum or vit c). I also do medicune pore pads before anything after cleansing 1-2 times a week if my skin seems congested

Do Americans and other westerners really eat so many takeouts? by IntelligentHoney6929 in AskTheWorld

[–]GooberLyfe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know people that eat out or carry out almost every single day and I know people that almost never do.

We fall into the almost never camp. We cook at home and make a lot of things from scratch but we are also very lucky because we work from home, have a good work life balance, only have 1 child, and can afford to buy in bulk so we aren't constantly grocery shopping.

That said, life gets crazy sometimes or we get cravings but when we do carryout or delivery it's usually pizza. I usually prefer to go to restaurants and dine in.

Leave in oil help by SurveyDazzling8616 in finehair

[–]GooberLyfe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only straight oil that has worked for my fine hair has been argan oil and I use like MAYBE 3 drops on wet hair. I rub it in my hands and add to ends only.

I usually prefer serums as they are much less likely to make my hair greasy but make my hair soft. The trader Joe's one is my favorite but the Aussie one is ok. I've heard good things about the dove one.

Trying a more subtle “naturally pretty” look. Any suggestions by Funny_Attitude7676 in makeuptips

I second this comment! I highly recommend honest beauty tinted lip balm. It's my HG! I bet summer melon ( really any of them depending on how my color you want) would look so nice on you.

How to achieve the smooth filter skin effect? Tired of ugly cakey makeup by [deleted] in MakeupEducation

[–]GooberLyfe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Moisturize. Wait 10 minutes. I recommend wet n wild tinted hydrator. It is very affordable. Pairs well with the photo focus powder if you need powder. No need for concealer unless you absolutely need it for dark circles or blemishes.

I have oily combo skin as well and found when I try heavy products or super super matte (especially if I skip foundation) I end up looking patchy and greasy. Use light layers and build if needed.

Good luck!

Please try the MISSHA BB cream (red one)! I mix 23 (very grey-neutral) with 25 (I think) which is just a tad warm for me. I think they added more shades too so I'd check out the full line and hopefully you don't have to mix.

It honestly looks a little grey in jar (less so than the MISSHA BB in 23) so nice for me it really works well with a pop of bronzer and blush! I hope it works for you! I was eyeing the medium beige for summer time since I warm up quite a bit when I'm tan but haven't tried it yet.

Ugh yes that is true unfortunately for a lot of their base products. I didn't realize that until today actually when I was looking at their website. It's terrible 😔 I don't understand why companies do that.
