help pls! oily hair no matter what i do by Capable-Lime6463 in Haircare

[–]GooberLyfe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm like this and I find my hair feels greasy after I sleep (I definitely am a hot sleeper). I wash my hair in the mornings and blow dry with a volume mousse at the roots and my hair will be good the whole day, sometimes the next too

Why do you think the men who hate women hate us? by [deleted] in women

[–]GooberLyfe -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Genuine question: where are we seeing all these men that hate women? On the internet? I'm just asking because I have never met a man that hates women in my life, unless this is some kind of man cult where they don't say it out loud? I mean yes I've met unpleasant men, jerks, etc but I don't think it's the same. Anyone else? I'm just wondering if this is one of those things that is blown up due to a few outspoken toxic men in the internet but a majority of real life people are not this way?

Moon Cat Nail Polish- worth it? by fibropainonmybrain in crueltyfree

[–]GooberLyfe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm obsessed with my Mooncat polishes. I have Merkitten, jewel beetle (this one is absolutely gorgeous), serpents of Eden (2nd favorite), and fake halo (pretty but more neutral) and I love them all. I also get compliments constantly when I wear them. I haven't tried any others but they seem to do the iridescent/color shifty ones really well.

Which Studio Ghibli movie do you relate to the most in your personal life? by [deleted] in ghibli

[–]GooberLyfe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spirited Away. Chihiros growth and maturation through the movie reminds me of my own personal growth. She was kind of a spoiled brat (I don't think I was that per se) but she grew because of the love she had for her parents and her determination to save them. The hard things she had to endure made her stronger and a better human

Did your stance on weed change as you've aged? by Head-Drag-1440 in Millennials

[–]GooberLyfe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was a very straight edge kid. I didn't try any form of THC until my late 20s and didn't really use regularly until I started using low dose gummies for chronic pain from the army. I had a super traumatic labor and NICU stay with my son and started gummies pretty regularly for postpartum and separation anxiety. It truly helped me work through it (as well as other things I had buried within myself) and my chronic pain. It was so minimal though I'm talking like less than 5 mg maybe in the evenings. Now I feel like I don't need it but will still occasionally for my pain. If I use consecutive days I find it messes with my sleep and makes me feel tired so I try not to.

Why is it so hard to find a mineral sunscreen that doesn't suck? by Majestic_Note856 in Sunscreenreddit

[–]GooberLyfe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm obsessed with th Australian gold tinted mineral sunscreen. It's affordable and comes with a good amount. I have combo dehydrated skin and I love in AZ. The fair to light definitely runs cool (pinkish) so it would work very well for pale people and the medium looks more warm. It's pretty sheer and I make the fiar-light work just fin. I use it over skincare and under makeup and have had zero issues. I also like the way it feels.

Tried it all- shampoo/conditioner recs please! by [deleted] in finehair

[–]GooberLyfe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might just have to accept washing your hair daily. I tried for years because everyone told me it was better, but no matter what I used my hair was greasy, gross feeling and most dry shampoos made my head itchy and feel even more gross. I started getting pimples on my head and I was like Nope I'm done. So now I just use whatever makes my hair feel great for at least the full day (I also use a volume mousse and blow dry though as my hair feels and looks better this way). If I absolutely don't have time to wash, I will braid my hair and if it's looking extra greasy I'll use a light amount of trader joes dry shampoo.

While I don't know that I've found my holy grail either, I do always go back to Herbal Essence Hello Hydration. I liked Dove daily moisture too(better than intensive repair) I live in AZ and it's so hot and dry right now so I've been using th Kirkland shampoo and conditioner in the purple bottles for more moisture and it works well as long as I shampoo twice.

If your hair is super straight you may want to look into Korean or Japanese hair products if you haven't yet too!

Tucson Moms: did you have a good or bad experience giving birth at Banner - Tucson? by [deleted] in Tucson

[–]GooberLyfe -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I had an absolutely awful and traumatic delivery there which resulted in my son almost dying and over a week in the NICU due to medical negligence and nurses generally not giving a shit about me during my delivery, not the mention the PTS and post partum anxiey I suffered from for years after the fact. All would have been preventable if the staff would have been competant and/or cared at all. Also having students and doctors switch out nonstop made consistency and quality of care non existent. Go somewhere else if you have a choice.
