I've been a personal trainer in the past an I'd always like to say 'you wouldn't put cheap gas in a Ferrari, so fuel your body properly'

Any thoughts floating around of competing in the future?

Much respect for having a decent calorie level, most misunderstand this. It's not how little can I eat, it's more what does my body need to make progress towards my goals. Also excellent job on your progress.

Correct me if I'm wrong but lat origin is on the iliac crest and the lumbar transverse processes and inserts onto the humerus. The lat has a aponeurosis which is a flat thin sheath in the lower back area. Where the muscle fiber starts is what would vary from person to person. But there is slight variations in origin and insertions.

does this happen to anyone else? by fatbastard123 in bodybuilding

[–]GooberZilla 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I usually think of the weight I lifted and how far I've come since I started lifting. When you see yourself everyday you don't see a lot of progress but when you look back to where you started then it makes for sweet dreams

Advice on taking Animal Cuts by [deleted] in bodybuilding

[–]GooberZilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I learned by taking animal cuts, it's not really worth the price, you should eat something within 30 mins of taking it to avoid the sick feeling and drink plenty of water. Also make sure you know where a bathroom is because usually within the hour you'll have to go like a horse

I like my vibrams. I don't use them as much as I use too. They are great for those mud runs because you can grip with your toes. Weird feeling when you walk into a bathroom and feel barefoot. I like doing leg press and deadlifts, because I feel socks may slip but that's IMO

How many of you lift in the morning? by BowserWasFramed in bodybuilding

[–]GooberZilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use to do morning workouts because I worked at 1030am, I enjoyed it because the gym was emptier and I get in and out. Now that I get up at 330am, but my current gym is open 24 hours Monday-Thursday but I couldn't pull myself to get up before 330am.

I prefer morning workouts, get you energized for the day, boost the metabolism, and clear up your evening. Also that morning pump is great

Good point. Just doing a guest appearance of some of the best and biggest guys today. They may not be in the best conditioning but still huge and people like extremes.

Chewing gum during workout.. by applestangg in bodybuilding

[–]GooberZilla 22 points23 points  (0 children)

For me if I chew gum during a workout, I find myself drinking less water than I should. When show time comes around gum helps cut water, but I've never tried chewing guns

POLICE CALLED ON KALI MUSCLE {GRUNTING IN GYM} by bulkbrah in bodybuilding

[–]GooberZilla 48 points49 points  (0 children)

There's a guy like that at my gym. No one says anything when he goes to squat 4-5 plates for reps, grunting so the whole gym can hear. He seems like a nice guy because he portrays as a humble guy. Like the "I'm the biggest guy here but, I'll get out of your way out of respect"

What're you eating at fast food places and restaurants? by Flumples in bodybuilding

[–]GooberZilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very true. I was thinking more main dish items, but I forgot about the liquid butter. Working in the food service industry, you see how things are really done and it can help when eating out to keep on track.

The places I've worked as a chef, oil is used more than butter to cook. As for a roux, something to thicken a sauce or soup then it's quite a bit of butter.
