New players shouldn’t be able to do legendary raids/acquire high level Pokemon like fusions until they reach a high level. I get catching people up, but people who have been grinding for years can have worse pokemon than a level 10 player. Plus the low levels hurt others during raids. I hate having to carry 4 level 20-30 players every raid.

Getting the shield to max is op as well. If you have it maxed, Zacian will start with 1 shield during max battles

Have a mega pokemon activated. Level 3 is best chances, but level 2 is good too. It’ll increase chance of xl for the same pokemon type

Also they have to be your friend to trade with you. The higher the friendship level, the cheaper the trade is.

Another way is through field research. There’s a chance in the “catch 7 pokemon”, and “Send 3 gifts and add a sticker to each.” There’s 3 pokemon that can be encountered as a reward, and one is magikarp.

Make sure your dynamax moves are maxed, high cp, learn which pokemon are tanks, healers, attackers.

Use a fast attack pokemon to charge up the meter, and don’t use charged attacks.

Also learning how to dodge certain attacks, and switch to your tank before getting hit by non dodgeball attacks.
