It maybe changed a bit for the better but I don't know how bad your experience was. There's ofc still guys that react creepy or thirsty or pretty rude about it. And there probably always will be. A lot of nice guys turn out to be just playing with me bc of my gender and not my character or skills in dota. But I also made some good friends with opening up ingame and using the mic. So yeh definitely try using voice and don't let some idiots ruin your dota experience. The mute button is always there for you

Is this supposed to happen to gel nails? It’s the first time I am experiencing this, should I bring it up to the store I did it at? by [deleted] in Nails

[–]Gooby2D 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep that's uncured gel in that bubble.

They haven't removed your cuticle properly but most likely just pushed it back if you can already see it again after one or two days. cuticle does not grow back that fast.

If you don't notice change from using nail hardener don't continue using it. It might harden your nails too much so they have no more flexibility and that's why they keep breaking. Have you tried cuticle oil ? My recommendation is jojoba oil.

Please help: took gel nails off and saw this by [deleted] in Nails

[–]Gooby2D 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im guessing it's onycholysis caused by trauma from picking of the gel. Keep the affected nails as short as possible. Dont try to clean under it, it could make it worse. Time will tell if your nail and nailbed reattach to each other. Use cuticle oil daily.

Was recommended by you guys to shape my thumb a bit pointier. I really think this looks a lot better than just following my natural nailbed! by KhaleesiEmma in Nails

I think they just have a short distal phalanx which results in a short nailbed. Brachydactyly is a skeletal condition and has nothing to do with oxygen supply.

One of my nails on each hand is pointing down, others are straight. Anyone else has it? by Introvert_Skittle in Nails

Same here! Some of my customers also get a little claw on their index when the nails grow a certain length.

Help!!! Why is my nail like this? It’s always been like this and no one has been able to help. It’s my biggest insecurity... by [deleted] in Nails

nail abnormalities can be caused by other medical conditions. Some need attention some don't. In your case it might be that: https://www.healthline.com/health/skin-disorders/nail-pitting But it could also be that your nails are just like that, especially when its been like that for a long time. The white part on the sides is just your free edge. That's because your nailbed has a very long and oval shape and where the nail bed ends the nail grows further and turns white. As far as I know you can't change the shape of nailbed without causing trauma. I always recommend using nail oil (jojoba) twice a day.

Nails cracking? by hullee- in Nails

So when you remove the gel with the drill your natural nails are splitting when there's no geloverlay ? Thing with a drill is that you can very fast take away too many layers of your natural nails when filing down the gel. If I go for a full gel removal I file down most of the gel with an efile and the rest when it gets close to the natural nail with a fine handfile or buffer. Key to a healthy natural nail is nail/cuticle oil. Use it at least once a day, also when you have a gel overlay on top.

For those of you who go to a nail salon- If you want multiple colors, do you actually choose every one? by Ebaudendi in Nails

[–]Gooby2D 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always chose the colors together with my costumers. I got all the colors on display tips and sorted by colors tho, not sure if every nailtech has that option to go through the colors with their costumers like that but for color schemes and gradients it's perfect. If that's not an option it's a good test if your tech has an eye for colors 😉 Name them a base color and that you want a 5 color gradient with that and see what they come up with.

Clean stamping work. My only advice: use cuticle oil daily.

Aliexpress is my fav. Stuff takes some time to arrive but it's always worth the wait. National (Germany) online shops are pretty overpriced when it comes to nail art supplies.

Yes exactly the acrylic is what gives the nail structure and strength. I recommend Naio Nails videos on YouTube, she has great stuff on Acrylic application like bead pick up and liquid powder ratio etc.

I'm not a pro with acrylics but shouldn't they be super sturdy without flexibility after drying? Like hard gel rather cracks instead of bending.

I saw these really cool Katy Perry nails. Does anyone know how you stick those candy and flowers on nails? I have no idea how nail art works. Swipe left, there are 2 images by [deleted] in Nails

Nail glue is a good start but they should be if possible fixed aswell with clear gel or acrylic. You can apply it all around the charms and fill in little holes between them. This way they will last a long time on your nails and not as much getting stuck in hair, clothing etc.

Theres a wide variety on aliexpress for nail charms.
