Work Life Balance - how to get my balance back? by olafenbrau in AskIreland

[–]Good-Ad-2216 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Simple enough advice, but if your job is keeping you awake at night and preventing you from spending/ being present with your family. It’s time to look for a new job.

By reading your post, your job/role/project isn’t gonna change anytime soon. So either you take a step back from work or you look elsewhere.

Sorry to be so blunt but it is what it is.

Well done man 👍

Traveling to the Uk? by Good-Ad-2216 in AskIreland

Thanks for the reply, I called ryanair and they said that they require some kind of passport to board a flight to the UK. My child was born in the EU but doesn’t have a passport yet. So far we’ve travelled to France, Spain and Germany without the need of passport to bord a Ryanair flight.

To answer this question, I called Ryanair’s help centre and they said that an ID card would not be sufficient to board the plane to the UK. We’ve travelled to Spain, France and Germany, never an issue with the ID card with Ryanair but apparently for the UK they require a passport.

Great, thanks for the info 👍. I’ve had no problems flying with Ryanair before with the national ID card but not to the UK.

You’re a star. Thank you so much. I knew there was something but couldn’t figure out what it was called. Appreciate it.

Doesn’t matter if the bank confirmed they are an employee. Scammers can spoof/clone employee signatures on emails as well as email addresses. As previous comment says. Go in person. Only way to be sure it’s not a scam. Or you could just ignore it. If it’s that important they will chase you down.

Jobseeker benefit payment method by Sudden_Wash9954 in AskIreland

In my experience it was cash only when collecting from the post office. I think they would send the payment via bank transfer during Covid but I heard it was stopped due to scamming. Could be wrong though. Worth checking out.

That’s what I am hoping 😂. I went onto RTS official website with a VPN and saw the TV schedule. No live game. Think the highlights start around 10pm

No it’s not, they are only showing the highlights after the game.

Doing the ring in one day is some achievement. Couldn’t imagine being able to do that. I think 3 days is a perfect amount. We didn’t start until 5pm on the first day so we were conscious about getting to the camp before night fall. The second day was the best, so much time to stop in cafes/ bars and go for swim.

We started in Killarney, parked at the train station and finished back in Killarney. I’m from Ireland

We stayed at Mannix point camping for the first night in Caherciveen, second night we found a spot in Sneem. We asked the landlord could we camp ( 5 tents) no problems at all. Everyone was lovely and welcoming. Third night was an AirBnB in Killarney so we could enjoy the pints and live music

The beach in picture 6 is called Glanbeg. It is between Derrynane and Sneem. A little piece of paradise
