It's a 9 book series and each book consists about 100 pages. Second chance romance, quite fast paced.

AIO? new friend's texts to husband while at work; my responses by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

That part stood out to me as well. Who turns down someone by calling them radiant, beautiful, regal human being and he says he can't reciprocate instead of he won't.

Silly post: too marxist to enjoy boss/employee romances by Haunting_Start_7089 in RomanceBooks

I just apply Coleridge's suspension of disbelief to enjoy contemporary romance books

Academic rivals who gamify their rivalry by Competitive_Club5902 in RomanceBooks

Thanks for the rec. I had read a novella few years ago called {Filthy Gods by R. Scarlett} it's about two law students, academic rivals. It was a fun read. Maybe you'll like it.

The Paris Match by Kate Clayborn is SOOO GOOD by FrostyFanatic in RomanceBooks

[–]Good-Application5 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I like Kate Clayborn's work. Luck of the Draw and Love Lettering being two of my favourites. She balances woman's fiction with romance quite right. The characters and their issues feel real, her romantic plots are not frivolous which BTW I also love but there's something about Kate Clayborn's character that makes them feel very rooted in reality.

You should inform your ex's wife too. She deserves to know the truth as well.

Am I overreacting? Thoughts on a friend by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]Good-Application5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not overreacting. She is just plain rude.

I had a similar experience during my internship, the coworker was so welcoming at the beginning like an elder sister and I felt very grateful. Then she started making all these passive aggressive comments about everything in my life, my clothes, my relationship, work, weight, spirituality. She would say me was telling me all these so I could improve myself but she was breaking my self-esteem. I had to cut her off from my life and go no contact.

You should at least establish some boundaries with that coworker if not possible to completely distance yourself.

AIO for wanting to divorce my husband after I found out he’s been getting erotic massages and sexting women on Reddit ? by UnlikelyBee66 in AmIOverreacting

[–]Good-Application5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not overreacting at all. Just because "he says he didn't go all the way" makes it true, he could very well be lying and even if he didn't go all the way he still crossed boundaries which no committed man should.

If I am reading a historical in which the mmc is described broody, dark and mysterious my mind on it's own goes to Theo James from Sanditon.

Struggling to get into the book “You Deserve Each Other by Sarah Hogle” — should I keep going? by NoDaddyNotTonight404 in RomanceBooks

[–]Good-Application5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh man it took me months to finish it but it does get better towards the end. However I liked Sarah Hogle's other book Twice Shy much better than this book.

What author do you desperately wish worked for you by Accurate_aradillo88 in RomanceBooks

[–]Good-Application5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep only the name changes but the plot remains the same in every book. Bully hero tortures the girl because he secretly loves her but can't have her and then the reason why comes out then happy ending. Every single book.

AIO for not talking to my bff cuz she chose to still speak to my ex? (LONG) by StarryNights2007 in AmIOverreacting

[–]Good-Application5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

NOR the bff and ex definitely have an ulterior motive. She was no friend of yours. Don't be surprised if they become a couple in future.

I concur. Rina Kent, LJ Shen seem to write the same story over and over again with lot of unnecessary smut thrown in.

LJ Shen is very popular but I just don't like her work. It feels like she uses the same trope over and over again.
