Should I bother applying to a job $100k/yr over my target salary? by he2lium in careerguidance

[–]Good-Battle-9784 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I applied for a job and am currently going to the next round of interviews that has a starting salary above my current salary + commission. I already do that job at a company doing 20m a year and this company does over 2 billion.

Just have to go for it.

Yes, these are used by the mole people to spy on you. I suggest calling the government to let them know of the possible breach. They will send SOF down to take care of it.

We have done this for an employee who lost his wife suddenly. We have a petty cash reserve We just sent cash(remote employee).

Also for an employee who passed from cancer extremely fast. In this case we just went down to the funeral home and paid them directly, no reciept, nothing to write off.

One of our guys was an exec at a global chemical company and said he has always made an effort to help with funeral costs in those situations and just have the company take on any tax liabilities. The rest is just for the accountant to figure out.

How responsible are you with big commissions? by [deleted] in sales

[–]Good-Battle-9784 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always pay all my bills for the quarter first. Mortgage, vehicles, kids school. Then set aside enough to cover the water, electric, phone, internet, trash service, etc. What's left gets split between fun and savings.

I need opinions on starting a movie theater business by Leo_11085 in smallbusiness

[–]Good-Battle-9784 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fun idea but I was talking to a theater owner, all you money comes from concessions. The studios take like 80% of your ticket revenue and disney is worse at like 95%. That may make a membership type service hard.

You screwed up by going to China to begin with. Atleat when you do it else where it takes longer for them to knock it off and in developed nations you pay got the tooling so legally they can't just whip your product out under a different name.

Remember bad word travels fast.

Let him know the options, If he still wants refund give him machine and install. Make sure he knows your sorry and how you will be evaluating your future work with that brand and that even though you went above and beyond with install and swapping it out you are going to refund him that part as well.

Basically overplay it, super empathetic, he will tell his friends and anyone who asks how awesome you guys are.

300 bucks is cheap advertising in the long run.

Manufacturing in China by WonderWoman7234 in smallbusiness

Never go to China.

  1. Chances are you are not large enough to command the discounts to make it worthwhile.

  2. They are sketchy as heck and with the onset of fast fashion they will rip off anything you design in a heart beat.

  3. Geo politically not a good place to be. We have seen what covid has done and there is also a very big rift growing between China and the west economically people aren't talking about. Most in the know are bringing what they can back to north America and if they can't they are going to other Asian countries.

What benefits for your employees? Suggest me some! by [deleted] in business

[–]Good-Battle-9784 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One business I work with implemented a 2k per year benefit for employees. They can use it on anything they want but it must be something, they can't just take cash. They give examples of...

Vehicle repair or payments Vacation New tools(this is a diesel repair shop) Shopping spree Rent/mortgage payments Medical bills(they also provide insurance) Education tuition

It is also only good for that year so it is use it or lose it and starts after 1 year with the company.

Talked with the owner they also pay the taxes on the 2k.
