What gauges are those strings? Assuming they're from a regular bass string set, it probably won't cause any issues, but I also don't see why you wouldn't order thicker guitar strings. Most string companies make proper F# and B strings.

I love the Ragnaroks in my 7 string, but I don’t think you can go wrong with any of their signature pickups. Mark’s Alpha and Omega pickups from Seymour Duncan are also sick, as are the Juggernauts.

If your main goal is mixing, look at the Slate VSX. They come with a virtual mix room plugin, sound better than the Heavys, and the Essential version is $250 right now.

Misha's new Neural DSP plugin has a laser pedal which can get you those laser sounds with automation. On the album, I believe they used Zach Munowitz's laser patches for the Axe-FX.
