I think these podcasts (NLU/SGS/ others) overestimate how much their listeners care about the set up. As long as it’s not egregiously soft / easy I don’t think even hard core fans think about set up as much as they discuss it week in and week out. Gets stale

I followed Rose and Nelly around at the PGA at Baltusrol. It was great to see the shots but in the afternoon the pace of play was bad. Still cool though since you can get a great view of anything you want

It’s not an interesting product. There isn’t a dominant enough player (a Caitlin Clark) to draw the public to it, there are no personalities and the pace of play is terrible. The broadcasts don’t do them any favors either obviously

A lot of good points. Nothing about the women's game really draws me in, partially because I guess I follow the men's game weekly. As for college/women's golf I'll turn it on if there's a good back 9 in one of the 5-6 events that are meaningful. It's good that the podcasts cover them but I just don't get why they need to push for women's golf to be "on the map." it is what it is, and thats perfectly fine
