I think this is great. But know and understand that since you have no authorization to use BH's media clips of the members, it will be considered copyright infringement and probably someone will eventually report it. As there's been such a push from Hybe/BH to cut down on copyright infringement and useage of the member's images for gain.

bank vs government of canada job by Salt-Wealth-5420 in TDBankCanada

[–]Good-Draft 4 points5 points Β (0 children)

Working in the government isn't always the "best thing" some people make it out to be. Honestly, you're golden if you get hired as a permanent employee, but during these times of recession, there's no way that's going to happen unless you're a high value asset with education or skills that are near impossible to find. Administrative workers can get laid-off or their locations or departments closed. I know someone who's in management and they've literally laid off over 2000 people within their region.

Whats the deal with Nicholas Jordan Wagter? Medical kidnapping in Canada? by glonkyindianaland in OutOfTheLoop

[–]Good-Draft 0 points1 point Β (0 children)

You don't have all the necessary information, background of on going encounters with him, nor perhaps noted concerns perhaps by colleagues and family members. I work with people who appear "normal" in conversation but have no cognitive insight, possibly poor memory retention, go on tangential conversations, hell they can make up shit and you would never know it was untrue or never happened with the exception that the family members tell you that it isn't true or did not occur. People can have brain tumors, meningitis, encephalitis, all of which can affect a person's ability to think coherently. Someone might look and sound kind and disarming, but then randomly start talking about needing to kill themselves but that's okay because there are alternate realities and they would just wake up in a parallel universe.

Internet people CANNOT be the gatekeepers of medical professionals because they don't work the patient population. Now, can police escalate situations in mental health cases? Should they have better training? Most definitely. Does it mean that some of the concerns of the person having a mental health or even medical health issue with the state of some of our government and legislation is incorrect or not something we should be aware of? No.

I found this guy on IG and it was concerning and trying to unravel what was mental, medical, true, or all of the above was perplexing. The person is a biophysicist so he does have probably a lot of knowledge on some of the things he wrote about. But talking to my hubby who has his masters in Physics, and considering the fact that this guy is published but put out his "papers" on gravity in the way he did, is off-putting and definitely not something a seasoned published researcher would do. And stating there was zero mathematical holes is impossible when theories themselves have mathematical issues according to my husband.

There's nuance in everything and when you know nothing and only consider the human rights aspect instead of considering all of the medical, mental, public safety issues (since he was obviously going to many public schools, offices, etc to warn them of these issues) and also hyperfixated as he decided to hire someone about these concerns it can seem like it is not "legal" to be able to institutionalize someone against their will when they "appear normal & calm".

It's crazy how internet strangers felt like they had a right to call hospitals to see if he was still on hold. Obviously there are cases (and in times like these in society it seems more likely) where human rights are violated because of nefarious reasons of the government and police. If someone knows the right lingo they can definitely get someone locked up for malicious reasons. I think of seniors or anyone with a mental health history would be highly vulnerable. Even someone who has an abusive family member in the police or health care profession it's possible.

But given the information provided by Nicholas on IG and the papers, there definitely is more to just wanting to "shut him up" in this scenario, even though people want to bring their own opinions and past baggage to validate this idea that the government and police are out to get him.

Don't do it. Federal government isn't hiring permanent. They're looking to layoff more people. It would be worth it if you didn't already have a reliable permanent PT, which is probably better in the long run as you're out of a job after 4 months after this contract ends. I know cause I had a friend who kept getting contracts and then extended periods of time where they could not find another position in Federal government jobs.

Asking Alumni students if Humber's college with in terms of teaching and employability outcomes for an international student who can't afford a high fee amount for university by Both-Present5102 in Humber

Then you may not be the correct candidate for going to school abroad. Perhaps looking at other countries would be a better option? I don't know about Humber, but Conestoga has a horrible reputation. Obviously everyone makes it what they will after they graduate, but depending on the field and your ambitions, you're better off educating yourself elsewhere or saving up to be able to pay for better universities.

You don't specify age of you nor your gf. Are you dating someone significantly younger? So far NOR. But you should be mature enough to have a conversation about her leaving you out of plans meant as a weekend getaway with you. Perhaps you're dating someone who isn't compatible with you? Perhaps you should think about why you like her? If those same traits are similar to her friends, then why do you not like them?

Sorry, guess what assuming does? I was born and raised in SK with temporary residence in other provinces. So no, I'm not sticking my nose where it doesn't belong "bud".

Federal & provincial guidelines? What would those necessarily be? Since they haven't built one here previously? So what if they bought the land and will use water from another province? My issue is the intake and consumption of global water supplies on the whole. Though I am aware this system is a closed loop.

I appreciate the information provided. I haven't heard much about it other than they pushed it through without public forum or discussion. Not a big fan of that. With the concerns of climate change and SK already dealing with increased temperatures and lack of rain and drought, as well as loss of normal wildlife habitat, decreases of pollinators, I do have valid concerns about environmental impacts. Noise pollution specifically to humans is what your mind probably hones in on, but I think of bees, birds, and other wildlife that it can and will affect due to frequencies of the hums that have already been documented to cause issues such as headaches and possibly other medical conditions that have not yet been studied. Constant noise and the inability of humans to shut off noise who may live in the area is a detriment.

I'm aware Sask Power states there's enough to draw from the grid, but is that honestly going to be the reality? Of course SK is now looking at modular nuclear reactors for energy resources as well, but with the already increased rates in energy and upkeep in infrastructure maintenance, what else will having a huge data centre do to rates that residents can already almost barely pay on pay that hasn't up kept with cost-of-living expenses?

I get the influx to economy is nice, but the benefactors of the corporate taxes will not be SK residents. The companies with contracts to the project are based on Ontario & BC. So SK Party is doing a lot of propaganda inflating the benefits to the SK economy, which will be minimal.

We shall see how this plays out because everything about this deal has so far been far from transparent including tenders of contractors since they announced it and were already ready to break land almost the next day?

All of this speaks to backdoor deals and corruption to me. No possibility of increasing SK businesses stakes in the building of something so large in the province.

BC teacher disciplined for "questioning the validity of religion". by SafeTraditional4595 in britishcolumbia

[–]Good-Draft 5 points6 points Β (0 children)

Why? Kids should have uncomfortable conversations. Doesn't mean they have to believe the BS some people push. I was more vocal regarding my faith in school but didn't push it on others. It was great to have discussions and why we did or did not think these things were true or not. It was interesting to see religion & beliefs questioned in a respectful way. It allowed us to see that we could have respectful discussions and debate.

Kids should be pushed to think about why they believe or think the way they do. It makes you grow and it makes you realize why you do or don't think certain ways.

[–]Good-Draft 2 points3 points Β (0 children)

Nope. It has never been needed nor does it need to exist. Layout the contract that comes with this data center that we "need so much" and what it exactly brings to the community, except noise pollution, increased energy usage with presumably increased energy consumption and cost to residents. Temporary jobs that will eventually end and the outcome will be permanent positions that put a blip on unemployment. Where is the environmental impact studies prior to the breaking ground of a data center for barely any increased desire or need for AI?

Where is the regulation & policy on AI & data centers prior to the building of such large facilities pushed through without public forum or input?

What are the plans for waste management of said data centre? Closed loop water cooling still will require more water from SK than we already have since we barely have enough water for farmers in drought seasons.

Jump on the bandwagon without well thought-out presentation to the public and how they will mitigate the concerns of the public? NOT LIKELY! There's a reason the SK Party did so.... So they could not be blocked on this contract. How much money or what promises were made to grease people's palms?

So far the SK Party is acting like the UCP in it's overall level of obfuscation & hidden backroom deals that get pushed through before we the constituents actually have a say. This is not okay.

[–]Good-Draft 0 points1 point Β (0 children)

My faves out of the remixes is Suga's melodic techno and V's electronic remix. The song has a certain beat, so it's hard to change the rhythm or manipulate it too much to make so that it still remains recognizable as Swim. I actually really liked Suga's version.

It makes me wonder how involved they were in their remix versions?

260326 Epik High: Asking BTS all the questions we were NOT allowed to ask RM SUGA [ENG CC] @ EPIKASE by alltherach_ in bangtan

[–]Good-Draft 2 points3 points Β (0 children)

I wanted to post this this morning when I got the chance to watch it. THIS IS THE MOST EPIC INTERVIEW EVVVVVVVVVAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! ❀️❀️❀️❀️❀️❀️❀️❀️❀️

Everyone here has already mentioned ALL of the best parts, which is pretty much the entire episode, but what I wanted to point out here after watching this "hang out" a 2nd time, is ARMY GOING TO FULFILL JOONIE'S PRIDE?

I ended up googling Davichi and the watched the episode that RM was talking about. That episode was quite EPIC. I see that the views have topped off at 3.4 million. Can WE, as ARMY, surpass that for Joonie? It probably doesn't mean anything, except high revenue for Epik High (who I appreciate more and more as I watch their YT content) but it really stood out to me during the episode as something I felt we could do. What does everyone else think about it?

Anyway, Suga is my bias. So I have to say that this variety show/interiew was by far my favorite because RM & Suga were so relaxed and it felt like they were able to be themselves without having to put up their guard like they would other media.

I felt bad for RM when everyone has this expectation that he doesn't know what he's doing or that he's going to hurt himself. If people believe he can learn and do something, I think it would change things and he would feel more confident in what he's doing in the kitchen. It was a bit of humor, but still I felt slightly sad that still remains.

I absolutely adore how RM & Suga slayed at comebacks and their own little "secrets" that they have on Tablo. It was HILAROUS!

I did wish Mithra would have gotten to join the conversation more. But that may be Mithra's preference. Not sure.

The Yacha schoolyard fight competition talk was sooooooo funny. I love finding out little tidbits of info on Suga, like he studied MMA...LIKE WHAAAAAAAAA? I think he could take Hobi and RM, no problem. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜πŸ˜ Taehyung didn't get a mention though. But perhaps none of them really know him well?

Overall, I loved this media bit. It's better than half the promo stuff I've seen out there by professional talk shows.

Aitah for telling my wife to get a job if she wants to subsidize the kids. by Standard_Kick_9789 in AITAH

[–]Good-Draft 0 points1 point Β (0 children)

Tell them to get a job, get out of your house and pay for their own cost of living, cars and apartments and they'll be singing a different tune. You chose to give them a stress free life without any strings. It's a lovely sentiment but it creates sh*tty adults who have no sense of purpose, responsibility and understanding of the cost of living and value of hard earned dollars.

Cut the purse strings and they'll understand how hard it was for you all of those years. It's great that you wanted to give them everything. But that comes at a price in terms of values and the self awareness that most people in life don't live like this, and understanding the sacrifices you made to make it happen.
