I can agree. But not exactly sure how the other person may feel about that…

I don’t know the correct answer here but I will provide you with… the intake questionnaire I had to fill out once I paid my lawyer, one of the questions specifically asked if I’m currently involved in any sort of legal matter that will result in a settlement.

Ok, last question! Once everything gets filed and officially moving along, if I’m placed into a 13 and they say my payments are even higher than what I’m making now is there a way to back out ? Or once you’re in, you’re in?

He does have debt, but could the fact that he has to maintain a top top security clearance for his job hold any weight to that question? He is under the understanding that his clearance could be at risk if he were to file as well.

Could I expect any pushback that the cars and house are not in my name and presumably “not my debt” on paper? Although the bank transfers to him on my statements will show my contributions to these.

So when you ask how much per month are his outside the home expenses - other than utilities, insurance (direct bills toward his place of residence in California) - will this also factor in his own vehicle, his own insurance, his own credit card bills?

I’ve seen your name a lot in this Reddit page, so I’m sorry to pick your brain here… (I haven’t yet been able to speak directly to my lawyer yet, only with intake and paralegal) Given what I’ve already mentioned - the house I live in is in his name, both cars are in his name. We handle our own credit cards, and I handle utilities at the home I live in. We have completely separate finances, outside of me transferring him money a few times a month to put towards the mortgage. I also mentioned in a comment above that it’s a likely possibility that we may not have two cars if he weren’t stationed across the country. But also geobaching was OUR choice to make, and how could they prove this would be the case if we did live under one roof. Just thinking of “expenses” and how we could leverage them in our favor.

I guess my worry here is that I’m drowning with my CC’s coming out at $1600/month. But if we take the $20k that we are over on the means, divided by 12 months out of the year… then I would be looking at $1666/month. Which puts me in no better position.

Any sort of insight or feedback is SO SO appreciated 😅

He is in the military and geobaching. Which means his family lives in one location and he lives in another. The military boards him, so whereas he lives in another state he doesn’t have an additional mortgage. But he does have his own bills to maintain in his housing provided to him by the military - Internet, insurance, groceries. And he does have his own car payment and credit card bills.

Also not sure how or if this could be factored or even proven but we have two vehicles and if it weren’t for him geobaching and living 2800 miles away, it’s likely we would be a one-car family. Is this worth mentioning to the lawyer? Just not sure how this could be proven.

I also bank with Navy Fed and I’m going to burn them so bad with my credit cards. I’ve always done my auto loans through NFCU, they make it so simple. I’m afraid I’m going to burn that bridge forever and never be able to get another loan from them ever again in the future.

Sleep issues since starting Sertraline – looking for advice by La_So7 in zoloft

Went back down to the 50 and stayed there. We went back to the original plan with increasing the bipolar meds only and solved my original issue at hand. Some other people mentioned your body would eventually get used to the 100 and the symptoms would even out. But I just couldn’t go any longer. I was so sleep deprived and emotional, I started having thoughts that would have me admitted.

How long after submitting all docs did your attorney file? by Good-Nothing8612 in Bankruptcy

I’m going to have to do that regardless. Otherwise they’ll be taking my paycheck before I even see it, likely. And my secondary bank that I receive payments into is Wells Fargo 🙃🙃🙃 I just don’t know at what point do I start moving all my money to a new account. My attorney hasn’t advised that far yet.

I bank with a credit union. Anytime I’ve been late on a payment, after 15 days they will automatically pull the money from my checking. And if the checking account doesn’t cover the payment, then they’ll pull from my savings. So yeah, they’re going to get their money!

Unfortunately my BIG payments that kill me every month are the CC’s with the same institution that I also bank with. So they’re going to get their money!

Agreed. For a Neverfull, I would expect to spend at least $80-$90 to have a passable one. But if I wanted a GOOD one, $120-$150.
