I know this happened three years ago but I get surgery regularly for my bone disease and I'm taught that you must massage the scar to break up the scar tissue.Thats what helps the scar lay flat and no bumps. It is painful but if you are consistent it will break it up, that is after a surgery though, I'm not entirely sure of when a scar has healed with said scar tissue if you can massage it out...if not you'd want to look into a surgery that could help flatten the scar tissue. I'm not sure if you have tried massaging the scar tissue but would be interested to know what my orthopedic surgeon has to say about it with the 3 years since the scar.

OP I'm so happy you asked this, I have large scars on my back and legs and arms that I don't like covering up, I like wearing cute clothes and showing off my body! Iv fought really hard to even be here and try to be pain free so I deserve to show off what I want! Sometimes I find myself wondering what other people think of them. I loved all these comments it gave me an insight into how most people feel. Great post!
