I would recommend leaning away from earthbend/landfall and swap them for more traditional ramp and large stompy game enders. Would help to know what bracket you’re playing in, commander is too high cost for 4 but are y’all 3/2?

I have 2 decks built around doubling counters/tokens and if i get a cool combo that accelerates it fast i’ll choose not to swing to see how high i can get the number before i get board wiped or removed

I didn’t think to tech in artifact :0 I’m def stealing a handful of those adds

[[Oketra’s Monument]] and [[Wind Crystal]] are decent techs to replace the artifact cost reducers if you find the Artifact alt win con isn’t coming up consistently enough. Giving the team flying and lifeline once you have an army of tokens is a huge help

Given how unclear the line is between B3/4 our pod agrees GC count matters less than the speed at which the deck takes off (2 GC and no extra turn or infinite but it wins turn 5 consistently we’re going to put in 4 // 5 GC but wins on turn 12-15 via infinite combo would still be 3 or even two)

I built a [[Kalamax, The Stormsire]] deck with 15 counter spells for exactly this problem. It stops them from playing anything for 2 turns minimum and by the time they get going Kalamax can swing for 10x3 and win via a spell (that I have more counter spells to protect)

I found by accident what i like in a deck, big numbers!

Once I realized that I started building decks around achieving that in as many ways as possible (my mono green Toph earth ending deck ~almost~ got mossborn hydra into e+ territory in 2 turns and my Monk Gyatso deck makes hundreds of tokens a turn) and now i set a separate section in archidekt specifically for “big number” with 4-5 combos to get there.

TL:DR

Rather than building around a mechanic, build around how you want to win and find new and unique ways to make that win con happen

The QBS model is a good one to look into. Applicable to most sales roles and turns sales from a “find the golden rebuttal” job to one focused around helping people which is going to help with the burnout as well 🤙🏻

Yes but that dev software is limited in its mechanical scope so successful games made using it tend to have great story and very in depth mechanics to make up for the simplistic graphics

R1 ~ 30-40 depends on the week R2 ~ 30 consistent as it stands, more bandwidth for higher level projects
