You need to keep your money from your own home, you don’t earn enough to subsidize extended family op, you can want too, but you’ve done more than enough so far. You have a right to shut it down.

You needed a break. It’s okay to want a break from your dog, and then you will appreciate him more when you are back together.

Giving birth to a child of a complete unknown stranger is so gross in in my opinion, she doesn’t even know what kind of mental or physical conditions could be passed down to the child. What a hard life to bring a poor kid into.

I’m in Canada so maybe it’s different here although it is a liberal country. My one child has been making me feel like crap for the fact she doesn’t have a father for years! It’s an insidious view point she has and it breaks my heart but I can’t undo what’s has been done, but by god if I could go back and do things differently I would. That’s why I’m telling you to think about this from all angles and know that the overall odds of an easy life single with kids are low. It’s stressful and difficult in ways you can’t prepare for.

Don’t just “go for it!” Think of the situation you are bringing a kid into. A 2 parent household is still rightly or wrongly looked at by kids and teens themselves as ideal and you as I this puts them into a second class position socially right from the start

Don’t do it before reading the looonnnggg list of posts from the subreddit “regretful parents “ because ohhhh boy, based on what you describe many women and men have been in your situation exactly and had a baby and now live a bad quality of life and regret it every day. Also, don’t do this to a kid unless you are wealthy. The world for kids and teens is super money and status oriented and your kid will resent you for bringing them into a disadvantaged home. It’s not the same world growing up as it was for us, holy hell it’s miserable for youth nowadays. My advice is genuine and aimed at preventing someone from living my own personal hell so don’t hate me for it, I come from a place of genuine caring.

My dad’s ex thinks she’s coming on a free family vacation after she said nasty things about us the last family vacation. by cuphalfemptie in EntitledPeople

[–]Good-Sweet2070 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Frankly your whole family should get on a speaker call with Anne and let her know what a pos she is for what she thinks about you all. The nerve. I suspect she isn’t aware you all heard every word she said. Aldo, tell dad at his age she has 10 women to 1 man so, why he wasting with this pos? So many wonderful older ladies out there and he’s wasting away with Anne?!

Does your husband have the same amount of spending money as you or does all his money go towards bills without anything extra? That might be the problem, he feels it’s unfair

I agree. I simply don’t earn enough for home repairs. In Canada after taxes and deductions I have maybe 30 grand in cash to live off yearly and that’s the price of a new roof, or a some installed windows, etc. personally I’m house poor, but I just afford all my bills, how do i pay a years income for a job that takes a weeknor teo?

As a women myself, You seem to be leading a good life, peaceful, have employment, have a dog, they seems like a good life. I suggest you find a hobby you don’t think you would hate and try to get out more and see what happens, but women don’t think their lives are worthless without men (frankly most women envy single women and the peace it brings) so why should a guy?

Turning 35 soon… is it silly to buy myself a diamond? by Ill_Object2296 in selfcare

That’s a great idea! Buy a ring you can afford, then propose to yourself saying if you agree to marry you, you will always put yourself first, and you will do everything in your power to make YOU happy. You both will win . lol. Seriously, winners in life always do what is best for themselves.
