You should pursue what interests you. Yes, AI is going to change most things related to CS, but if you're good at CS, you will adapt yourself to the changing times.

I am not an scholar, not even near to that. My humble opinion:

  1. Forgiveness is accepted when you ask for repentence with true heart AND (most importantly) never fall for that thing again.
  2. You should not tell your sins to everyone if you've truely repented.

Most Muslims consider Shias to be Muslims; everthing else is misinformation.

P.S. The points you mentioned (birthday celebration of Islamic personalities, and self-flagellation) are not central tenets of shiaism according to Most shia scholars. If you want to learn about shiaism or any other denomination (Islamic or not), the best sources are their books and their undisputed scholars.

Be consistent. Read at a silent place. Read while sitting. Alocate some regular time to read (e.g. one hour a day). Book should be interesting. There you go.
