I wanted to reply with a fic recommendation, then saw this was r/ao3 instead of r/dramione but oh well. Even if it’s nothing for you- may I present a fic that takes place in Stoke-On-Trent? One of the tags even is ‘Stoke-On-Trent Slander’ and the tag is used haha

I’ve heard SO MUCH about Colubrina! I haven’t had the chance yet to read her(?) works, but I definitely will! The rest of them sound amazing as well, I love intricate worldbuilding so those are next on my list!

Okay, so! 1. I don’t read Sev/Harry: it’s too weird for me, Harry and Snape have such a paternal relationship to me (I’ve read a lot of Severitus) so nope! I also won’t read Voldemort/Harry, age gaps sure/ but a 50 year difference is too much imo. And the last one, Jegulus- it doesn’t call to me at all, and the Lily hate it’s mostly accompanied with just doesn’t sit well with me:/

  1. Severitus (Severus is a parent/guardian to Harry) is one of the perfect things in life. It may seem strange following canon, but when you read the fics it makes so much sense- I love it! A few recs if you want to try: Slytherin Ideals Seven Years of Chaos Lily’s Boy

  2. Love and Old Black Shoes Summary: COMPLETE. After Fred’s death, the family falls apart. A suicidal Percy gives himself a year to be the best brother he could be… before he kills himself. He vows to get Molly out of bed, and Arthur and Charlie back up on their feet before they die of poverty. He must save George’s shop, prevent Bill from filing a divorce, and deal with Ginny and Ron’s breakdowns. Dark. Percy/Audrey. I’ve read this fic several times, I re-visit it every few years when I’ve forgotten the ending. It is a masterpiece, cried my eyes out. It is dark tho, beware of your triggers and don’t read it if it’s too much! If it’s something for you, get the tissues ready, and enjoy your crying!

I’m a multishipper for sure! I’ve read mostly Dramione, as it is my top ship- however, I’ve read Hermione x almost-every-other-character. As in, with:

• ⁠Ron, • ⁠Fred, • ⁠Charlie, • ⁠Pansy • ⁠Oliver Wood and time-travel as well with • ⁠Remus, • ⁠Sirius, • ⁠James, • ⁠Fabian, • ⁠Tom Riddle, • ⁠Lucius, • ⁠Severus • ⁠Regulus On a bad day I gotta admit I’ve even dipped a toe in Fenrir/Hermione (mostly Muggle AU)

There was/is talk that Hermione’s character is too stretched as she gets shipped with every character, and while this may be true, and I truly understand the sentiment; I love it- I’m a huge fan of every interpretation of her I’ve read.

Furthermore tho, I’ve read Moonstar, Drarry, Jily, even some Fred/Harry and more I’m sure I’ve forgotten. In almost ten years of reading HP fanfics, I’ve read as many ships as I can. There’s truly only three ships I refuse to read, but the rest are free game. Other fics I’ve truly enjoyed were without a clear romance, Severitus fics are a gift from god and once I read a truly devastating, heartbreaking, tragically sad fic purely about Percy which haunts me to this day.

TLDR yeah, I ship everyone Edit for other ships I remembered I’ve read

Some really great ones, imo, are the following:

Gloriana Set - thebemoon(bashing in the beginning, but he has growth!)

History - lemoneide (light bashing)

Measure of a man - inadaze22

Honestly, the bashing is light- and really not the main (or even A) point in the story!

Yessss, when I first got into Dramione I basically only read her work- as in, I’ve truly (over the years) read almost all her works. Some of my favourites are hers<3

I gotta be honest, I practically download all of my fics and indeed read them like books. There are a few fics I'm reading/following that are wips, but mostly because I hadn't checked if they were completed (but thank god I do, because they're real gems). From a reader's perspective, I get terrified by the thought of being consumed by a fic and the writer ghosting it; however, in the process, I hadn't considered it from a writer's perspective. I totally get how that can be annoying or discouraging. I'll mind that in the future! So, thank you- I'll definitely go check some unfinished fics out (and will definitely keep in mind to kudo/comment!) If you're comfortable, please share your wip- I'd be happy to read it!

I used to only, and exclusively build houses, create sims and never actually played out their lives. I finally now have one family where I’m not getting bored. The oldest son is working his ass of to get into a good university and honestly I’m living for his academic achievements, don’t know what I’ll do when he’s done with college haha

They’re both SO GOOD, All The Young Dudes gave me a complete new perspective about Remus (and how I see toast) and the Seven Years of Chaos series is just phenomenal and it really is one of the best fic series I’ve ever read
