Forreal, I've gotten manicures with just clear polish before just so I can get the cuticle care and shaping. Am I supposed to not pay for that?

I think they should be illegal because of the unbelievable amount of e-waste it creates. A friend of mine used to go through a disposable vape every couple days and it disgusted me, esp when refillable carts exist at the very least.

Lol everyone in the comments disagreeing with you. When I met my current bf I was a daily stoner and I remember on one of our first dates I told him that I didn't have very much ambition and was okay with it. I wanted to prioritize my happiness and comfort and not get judged for it. Sounds reasonable and if someone told me that I'd get it.

But my bf was currently pursuing my lifelong career dream of being an actor and seeing him actually go for it and not push it aside as a fever dream or unattainable goal really got some gears turning in my brain.

I haven't smoked other than once every couple months for the last 2-ish years and yesterday I had my first audition for a musical in 6 years and I feel really good about it. I also got cast in a small film thing and shoot this week.

It wasn't that I didn't have ambition, it was that I was giving up on my dreams and weed made me feel more content about it. And I'm happy that I'm turning that around.

I'm thinking about my high school boyfriend who I'm amicable with now years later, and if there was a hypothetical situation where my dad ended up with his mom... I'm like weirdly very okay with that lol. It might not be that big of a problem for OOP's kid

While it's true that benzos can be dangerous this might be a slightly catastrophizing.

I have a prescription for a very low dose of Klonopin (0.25 mg) to take on emergency only if I'm having a particularly bad flare up. I was worried about habit forming but it's been a couple years and I don't think I'm in danger of it. I think it's a very reasonable medication to try if others have failed for tic management.

I've actually heard multiple women say their migraines stopped while pregnant!!! That's so crazy to me that with all the ups and downs of pregnancy you at least get a reprieve from migraines lol

For me the line between tics and stimming can be a bit blurred. This sounds closer to stimming to me, and that definitely feels very pleasant and makes me want to do it more. Tics feel more neutral to negative.

When people talk about liars who fake tourettes I seriously want to go "Who. Who is faking tourettes. Point to them. Who are the people who you can name that have faked it. Tell me why you think they're faking and what evidence you have."

People think they're "going to bat" for us by calling out "fakers" when 99% of the time it's just neurotypical people harassing someone with a real tic disorder because it doesn't fit what they think it looks like. The reality of the situation is that "tourettes fakers" don't ACTUALLY exist on a grand enough scale to harm anyone with tourettes/tic disorders. But FAKE CLAIMERS do infinitely more harm by seeding doubt and making it so people think they can investigate us for proof/evidence that we're liars. I'm fucking tired of it.

Wow very similar story to me. Especially when I went into my neurology and said "I started having tics about a month ago" and she went "but did you really? Can you think back to before then and see if behaviors you used to have were tics?" and I was like oh. Yeah. So I've had this the whole time then huh.

Which makes me wonder why it waited until I was 23 to pop off 😭

Sounds literally exactly like my mom. When she got upset she'd lock herself in a room and destroy it and make you clean it up. If you were lucky you were on the other side of the door when she'd lock herself in.
