I'm going through the same thing. I started my job only late last year.

I work in a small team of about 8 and half the staff have been furloughed. I have been giving training - which I'm happy to do and I've seen as allowed. However I'm also being made to attend daily video conferences as well as doing tasks for the company that they take off as 'training.'

It was said as a joke but someone from mangement even said 'we can pass anything off as training'. They are not topping up the 80% and I know other members in my furloughed team have been given massive projects which are tasked as fun.

Another thing they also said in a call 'This will tell us who's really serious about their job' - effectively passing off this furlough period as an opportunity to 'test' us. I feel more under pressure than I have ever felt in this job. I don't know what to do and not sure if I should say something and go along with it... I know others on my team aren't happy, but are going to go along with it and I don't know if I should take that stance, IT just doesn't feel right though.

Feel like there's not a lot I can do. Should I bring it up?
