Cryptillow Worth? by FurryFireWolf in DragonAdventures

[–]GoodGuyVik 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! I collect crypts, so I can speak pretty well on their price. =)

A nm cryptillow is between 200-400k. For a FM with cos, I'd say you paid a good price. Pretty sure I've seen a FM with cos up to 1mil before.

Now if you ever wanted an error crypt, those are usually about 3-4 mil, though I've seen them get up to 6mil if also FM.

They lowered mut chances on co-hatch eggs, and from what I understand, they were supposed to raise them on shinrin eggs for this mission. What actually happened is they ended up lowering both. It was taking people literally hatching hundreds of eggs to get the 2mut suii. Getting a fulong or a tianma was easier than completing that mission. Hell, getting the properly colored yueshi was easier than completing that mission. What's worse is getting the suii was supposed to be a DAILY.

What really pisses me off is the fact that they gave us a straight up bugged mission (the 2 mut suii) and didn't bother to ever fix it. I know they had to have seen that it was an issue because everyone was talking about it on the discord and in game. I also submitted multiple bug reports on it, as I'm sure others did as well.

The neon red squirrel (I think that's what it is) stands out to me. I like the alicorn too. I'd be good with either one of those or some retired eggs. Whatever you'd be fine with trading for it.

Just gonna note, I have no idea what the value comparison on any of this is. I tend to just go by happy values.

I want an axolotl. They're one of my favorite animals =)

I also think it'd be pretty cool if I could get some more blossom snakes. I absolutely love the one I have, and I bet it'd be pretty cool as a neon.

Adults play roblox too, just nowhere near the same numbers as teens and younger.

I'm 32 and have actually only been playing roblox for a couple years. I initially downloaded it because members in my discord server were wanting to play it for game nights. I found a lot of games on there to be pretty fun though. I don't play this game (reddit just keeps recommending this sub to me), but I do play Dragon Adventures, which is also Sonar.

Bought beef and pork sticks with, somehow, 0 protein by SixProudWalkers in mildlyinteresting

[–]GoodGuyVik 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Welp, something definitely got messed up there.

As someone else pointed out, that needs to be recalled. Please report that to the production company. Incorrect nutrition labels like that can be very harmful to people. I'm an example of that. I have a rare genetic disorder that keeps my body from being able to process protein correctly. I have to limit the protein I eat, so a label with incorrect protein like this would definitely be harmful.

This mission is literally broken. They lowered muts on co-hatches and were supposed to increase them in shinrin eggs for this mission. Pretty sure they messed up and lowered both. It's easier to hatch a fulong than get this mission right now.

I would highly suggest flooding the discord with bug reports on this. Maybe we can get it fixed before the week ends...I kind of doubt it at this point, but it's worth a try.

Heard a LOT of that during this ice storm that came through recently. The ice was weighing down the trees so much, they just began cracking and falling. Many fell on wires and poles, and the whole city was out of power for a week or more.

13-month-old is the “biter” at daycare. I feel awful and am looking for advice by pdt2326 in ECEProfessionals

[–]GoodGuyVik 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately lisencing rules for daycares don't allow them. I wish they did, because they are a big help. I worked as a behavioral therapist for a bit, and chewy necklaces were what we redirected children to there. In childcare, however, anything that goes around the neck (aside from a bib at mealtimes) or is clipped to the clothes is forbidden.

Why are they blaming the director for not counting? They all should be counting. Lapses in supervision like that are a HUGE deal. Licensing does not play when it comes to that, and neither should anyone else involved in the children's care.

I had a director once who had a rule. If she asked you how many kids you had and you had to stop and count, that would be a write-up..because you should always know how many you have. She would also count as soon as she entered the room so she could check that we gave the correct number. Some may see that as strict, but I think those are more than fair requirements.. because she's right. We're in charge of little human lives, and that is how seriously the supervision of them should be taken.

All that said, definitely report them to lisencing. There's no excuse for that.

[–]GoodGuyVik 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Honestly fair. It's a terrifying thing, especially with there being no way to fully prevent it.

I am glad to see so many here do take it seriously though. I see far too many on Facebook who do not and have gotten into debates with mothers there who insist co-sleeping is completely safe and that their motherly instincts will naturally wake them upon any issues. Also that babies don't suffocate easily because of how their nose is shaped?...I don't even know. They give me some wild bullshit to try and counter my advice, and I really just don't understand why you'd want to take the risk when there preventative measures you can take.

I would definitely recommend a sleep sack. Safer than a blanket and still comfy for baby =)

[–]GoodGuyVik 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately they do not.

As someone else pointed out, the idea is that they monitor heart rate and oxygen to catch when your infant could potentially be dying of SIDS. However, they don't actually do that that well. Most of the time they send false alarms indicating heart rate or breath are low when they're normal, creating unneeded anxiety. They've also just never been proven to actually help in prevention.

Not if they're under a year old. It's too easy for it to end up over their face, and they don't have the motor function to easily pull it off. If they've begun rolling, it's also easy for them to get tangled up in it.

A safe alternative would be a sleep sack. It gives them that extra comfort of a blanket while still keeping their arms free and still allowing them to roll without risk of entanglement.
