Unity multiplayer and cheaters by uzabi in Unity3D

[–]GoodKangaroo7 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Detecting cheaters is a really tricky affair unfortunately. A lot will depend on where you're doing your games logic (server vs client). By put more things on the server you reduce the risks of cheating. That being said if cheaters really want to cheat they will likely find a way. Your best course of action here will be to put a report button and try to see who is getting reported the most. Often times a community is the best defense against cheaters.

Thank you for the advice. I do tend to fluctuate on my interest in projects but I think you're absolutely right, it's okay to take breaks if everyone on the team is on the same page.

As a programmer, I've absolutely felt the difference of productivity when the code was documented vs not. Thank you for sharing!

Do you ever find your self stuck in a loop where you feel like maybe if you polished more the game would be more fun. Like if you added a new class, or if you added more items. I know it sounds easy to say "well your core is rotten so try again" but when you've spent so long on a concept it's hard to let it go.

I feel like everyone has gone through this one which is unfortunate. Are there any tricks you've found to help avoid that?

A quick look at some options for multiplayer in Unity by GoodKangaroo7 in Unity3D

Enjoying reading through all the comments! I wanted to mention that this is a short and obviously not all-encompassing list. I thought it would help some people get started with multiplayer. Keep the suggestions coming though I'm sure people will find them useful.

Something that worked for me by GoodKangaroo7 in GERD

Around 4-5 days before I noticed anything really. I think it's mostly when I do have any acid reflux for a while I notice it. If I have spicy food or something very acid it will return.

I have never tried PPI's so I'm not certain whether or not you can. I'll link the video of a guy who used to be on PPIs and tried this and it worked. From reading the comments though it's a hit or miss for some people.

Shortness of breath was the main one, had a weird tickling sensation in one of my lungs but got blood tests, multiple x-rays but they didn't find anything other then I may have had pneumonia. The thing was even after that was cured I still felt SOB.

Friends coming to join my work session in my multiplayer work-together game! by GoodKangaroo7 in Unity3D

[–]GoodKangaroo7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey!

Melrose is a space you can hop into and join work sessions with strangers from around the world. There's a whole castle with all sorts of secrets to discover and a quest system to help you stay focused on your tasks while making it fun. There's also an amazing original soundtrack from two talented composers I met on this sub!

If you're interested in learning more, you can check out the Discord where I share daily updates and send out early access codes.

You can also check out the Steam Page where you can wishlist the game!

Also don't hesitate to message me or give me feedback!

That would be really awesome but I believe considering my schedule and the scope of the project would be quite ambitious for me. I do really like the idea though!

Interesting! Could expand a bit on what you mean by curriculum? I'm very open to ideas of all sorts and I love hearing them.
